"Another highly recommended Italian lunch place"

The staff here are very welcoming, and the restaurant has a cozy vibe reminiscent of a Spanish-Italian eatery. The Spaghetti Carbonara comes highly recommended, along with other tomato-based pasta dishes. The food quality is good, and the portions are generous enough for two, especially considering that Asian diners often eat smaller servings. The gnocchi is softer than what we’ve had in Croatia, but it remains flavorful and enjoyable.

"Roman cuisine at the top"

We received an excellent welcome, and Alphonso, our waiter, was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal—truly a pleasure to have him serving us. The side kitchen maintains the same high standards, with delicious pizzas and excellent Carbonara pasta. A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience!

"Lovely Hosteria in Roma , Must Visit"

We stumbled upon Cantina e Cucina while heading to another nearby restaurant and decided to give it a try after checking the reviews—and I’m so glad we did! The food was delicious: the pizzas were perfectly cooked, and the Tiramisu was a lovely treat, served in a coffee cup with a small biscuit for dipping into the mascarpone-marsala cream. The team was attentive without being overbearing, embodying the warm and friendly hospitality typical in Rome. We finished the meal with a digestivo—though they were out of my favorite Amaro Montenegro, they offered Amaro Averna instead. I would definitely recommend this charming spot to others.

"Bravo Marcos"

Bravo to Marcos, an excellent waiter who made our experience enjoyable. The meal itself was very good, but the restaurant could benefit from better maintenance and a thorough cleaning. A little attention to these details would greatly enhance the overall experience.

"Good address in Old Rome"

Be sure to try the pepper pastas, like the classic Cacio e Pepe—one of Rome’s specialties. It’s a simple yet authentic dish that captures the essence of Roman cuisine. Each dish costs around €12.50, with VAT added at the end.

"Cucina pasta perfecto! A top 5 ✅"

This restaurant is perfectly nestled in a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed incredible wine, and the pasta and lasagna were absolutely delicious with generous portions. The warm atmosphere, charming décor, and comforting vibe make it a top choice, giving a true local feel. The Argentinian staff and management were friendly and attentive, providing fantastic service throughout our visit.

"Good rations"

We especially enjoyed the pasta with meatballs. I ordered the stuffed ravioli, and the tomato sauce was fresh and flavorful, while my husband’s pasta with meatballs was simply exquisite. To top it off, they offer a complimentary shot of amaro—a pleasant little touch to end the meal.

"Highly Recommended"

We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated, but everyone in line was offered prosecco while waiting—a nice touch. Our server, Vitoria, was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, though the tables and chairs were placed a bit close together, making it slightly tricky to move around. We enjoyed calamari, crispy artichokes, focaccia, tonnarello carbonara, tonnarello amatriciana, tiramisu, and salame di cioccolato—everything was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Rome.

Cantina e Cucina

Classic Roman trattoria with traditional pastas like cacio e pepe and amatriciana in the charming streets near Piazza Navona; beloved by locals for its hearty portions and lively atmosphere.
