"Great Atmosphere and Tasty Breakfast Worth the Wait"
Service was a bit slow, likely due to a small kitchen, but it didn’t bother us—the atmosphere was fantastic and made the wait more than bearable. The bacon and egg croissant and the English breakfast were both delicious, making for a satisfying start to the day. We enjoyed it so much, we came back for a second visit. A cozy spot with good food and a great vibe!
"Beautiful Views Undermined by Poor Service"
The café offers excellent views, which is definitely its strongest point. However, our experience was let down by inconsistent and disappointing service. We asked if smoking was allowed and were told yes—only to be asked later to put out our cigarettes, which was frustrating and confusing. Additionally, I ordered an iced coffee and was charged extra for an additional shot without being informed in advance. Sadly, despite the beautiful setting, the service left a lot to be desired.
"Great Location with a View, But Average Café Experience"
This café benefits from its prime location right in front of the square, with a few charming balcony seats that offer a lovely view. However, the coffee itself is nothing extraordinary, and the overall experience doesn’t quite stand out. Prices are on the medium-high side, which feels a bit steep considering the quality. A decent stop for the view, but not particularly memorable for the food or drinks.
"Great View, But Food Quality Doesn’t Match the Price"
The view of the square from this spot is truly beautiful and one of its main highlights. However, the food didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered the house burger for 35 soles and found it to be very basic. The “caramelized” peppers mentioned on the menu were just three thin slices that didn’t taste caramelized, and the onion portion was minimal. The carrot dessert was small and unfortunately quite dry, especially considering the price. While the location is lovely, the food felt overpriced for the quality and portion size.
"Smooth, Rich Espresso—A Rare Find in Peru"
I had a great double espresso here—so good, I ended up ordering another. It's one of the few places in Peru where I’ve found espresso that’s smooth and rich, without the sharp acidity that’s become increasingly common. If you're a fan of balanced, flavorful espresso, this spot is definitely worth a visit.
"Average Food, Nice View — But Frustrating Payment Experience"
Our group of eight stopped by for coffee and snacks—cheesecake, croissants, tea, and coffee. The food was average and nothing particularly special, though the teas were enjoyable and the view over the main square was a definite highlight. However, the experience took a disappointing turn when it came time to pay. We were only informed at the cashier—via a tiny sign—that the café only accepts payment in soles due to a non-functioning card machine. This was never mentioned upon entering, which is surprising for such a tourist-oriented, centrally located spot. As it was our last day in Cusco, most of us had already used up our soles. The staff offered no alternatives or assistance, and with no manager present, one of us had to leave and find an ATM, wasting time and causing unnecessary stress. For a café that caters mostly to tourists, this lack of transparency and service is unacceptable. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t recommend it.
"Great Coffee, Kid-Friendly Drinks, and Stunning Plaza Views"
This café offers incredible views of the main plaza and truly excellent coffee. They also have great drink options for kids, making it a welcoming spot for families. My husband was able to work for a couple of hours while enjoying his coffee, and the staff were very tolerant and accommodating—which isn’t always the case in busy spots. Just be aware that it gets quite crowded during brunch and lunch hours, so finding a table might take a little patience. Still, a wonderful spot to relax, recharge, and take in the view.
"Major Disappointment Due to Hygiene Concern and Poor Response"
I was very disappointed with my visit after finding a large insect in one of the infusions. This raised serious concerns about the hygiene and health standards of the establishment. What made the situation worse was the staff's response—they denied the issue entirely, despite clear photographic evidence. Rather than acknowledging the mistake, they dismissed it, which was both frustrating and unacceptable. A real shame, especially given the café’s reputation. I expected much better in terms of cleanliness and accountability.
"Great Breakfast Spot with a Stunning View and Early Hours"
This café offers decent coffee, a variety of great breakfast options, and genuinely friendly service. One of the highlights is the absolutely amazing view of the plaza—especially if you're lucky enough to snag a balcony table. I also appreciated that they open early, which is perfect for starting your day with a relaxed meal and a great view. Definitely a solid choice for breakfast in Cusco!
"Beautiful View, But Coffee and Service Fall Short"
While the view from this café is truly spectacular, the overall experience was disappointing. The coffee was underwhelming and served in small portions—not quite living up to expectations. The bathroom was noticeably dirty, which is surprising considering it’s reserved for customers only. To add to the frustration, they don’t accept card payments—a detail that should be clearly communicated upon entry, especially in a tourist-heavy area. Come for the view, but don’t expect much in terms of quality or convenience.
