"Great Ambience, Decent Tapas, and Smooth Service"
We decided to try this place due to its super high ratings and happened to be nearby. Luckily, we walked in around 12:15 PM and got a table without a wait—by 1:30 PM, there was already a line forming outside. The tapas were fairly standard, nothing groundbreaking, but still enjoyable. What really stood out was the atmosphere—warm, lively, and inviting. The service staff spoke English, and we had no trouble placing our order, which made the experience smooth and pleasant.
"So Good We Came Back Twice!"
A local friend recommended this restaurant, and it quickly became a favorite during our 4-day stay in Barcelona—we loved it so much, we ate here two days in a row! The beef tacos with foie gras were an absolute standout—perfectly balanced and packed with flavor. As a beer lover, I was also impressed by how fresh and high-quality the beer was—it truly exceeded expectations. I gladly give this place full marks. Do note: they don’t take reservations, so arriving early is key. Fortunately, there’s plenty of seating, and even with the crowds, the service and food quality remained excellent on both visits. Highly recommended!
"Good Food, Familiar Menu – But Limited Availability"
The menu and dishes here are identical to Ciutat Comtal, where we had already dined twice before. While we still enjoyed the food overall, especially after waiting for a table, we were a bit disappointed that some of the dishes we wanted to try were already sold out. The calçot was also underwhelming compared to the rest of the meal. Still, a solid spot for classic tapas, but best to arrive early if you want the full menu experience.
"Tasty Bites but Small Portions and Limited Drink Options"
I had high hopes for this vibrant bar, but I left a little disappointed. The portions were more like pinchos than tapas—bite-sized and not very filling. While the quality of the ingredients was evident and the dishes were well presented and flavorful, the value didn’t quite match the price. The drink selection was also underwhelming, especially the wines. I was hoping for some local or regional options by the glass, but found none. On the bright side, service was prompt and friendly, and the carrot cake—though tiny—was a delicious highlight. If you're after a quick, quality bite and don’t mind paying a bit more, this spot might suit you. Just don’t come expecting generous portions or an extensive wine list.
"Creative Tapas Worth the Wait"
Inventive and delicious tapas made this dining experience memorable. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and presented with creativity. Although we didn’t have a reservation and had to wait a few minutes for a table, it was well worth it. A great spot for those looking to enjoy high-quality, thoughtfully prepared food in a lively setting.
"Must-Visit Tapas Spot in Barcelona"
One of the best places in Barcelona to enjoy authentic tapas! The restaurant is large but always bustling, so booking ahead is highly recommended. If you walk in, expect a short wait of 15–30 minutes—but it's worth it. The service is impressively fast and friendly, making the overall experience smooth and enjoyable. A must-visit for tapas lovers!
"Disappointing Service Despite a Warm Start"
Our visit began on a high note with a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. However, the experience quickly took a downturn due to significant service issues. Although we arrived earlier, tables seated after us were served first. After two follow-ups, our food finally arrived—yet it was incomplete. To make matters worse, the missing item was still included on the bill. The waitress’s apology also came off as blaming us for switching tables, even though we had clearly communicated the move. A promising start turned into a frustrating dining experience.
"Extensive Tapas Selection with a Few Misses"
This spot offers a wide variety of tapas and desserts, with impressively quick service. Most dishes were satisfying and enjoyable, making it a solid option for sampling Spanish bites. However, there were a few disappointments — the octopus was slightly overcooked, the razor clams had sand in them, and a couple of items we ordered never arrived. The lighting is bright and more functional than atmospheric, so it’s not the coziest setting. Still, a relatively safe and convenient choice for a tapas experience.
"Good Food, Poor Service Ruined the Experience"
While the food here is undeniably fresh and well-prepared, the overall dining experience was disappointing. A staff member accidentally spilled oil all over my dad’s shoe and pants—and didn’t even offer an apology. Every member of the team seemed to be rushing around, which made the atmosphere feel chaotic and stressful rather than welcoming. I get that it’s a busy restaurant, but the lack of care and attention took away from what could’ve been a great meal. Unfortunately, despite the quality of the food, I wouldn't return based on the overall service.
"Lively Tapas Bar with a Must-Try Sirloin Montadito"
This vibrant tapas bar on La Rambla is full of charm and energy. The menu is extensive and it’s honestly hard to choose—everything we tried was delicious! The standout, though, was definitely the sirloin montadito with foie; absolutely exceptional. The staff were warm and friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. We’ve officially added this spot to our list of favorite places in Barcelona and will definitely be coming back!
