"Wonderful Experience!"
I really liked the atmosphere of this place and how it was decorated! It was very festive and even had live music. The food was also very delicious and well presented! Our waitress was super nice to us and made sure we had a very pleasant experience. Overall, it’s definitely a restaurant I would go to again!
"Disappointing Experience"
I had high expectations for this place, but was met with a surprisingly poor welcome. The receptionist’s attitude was cold and dismissive—she didn’t make eye contact and, in a condescending tone, just said, “You only have two hours here.” It immediately set a negative tone for the evening. Our waiter started off seeming disinterested, though his service did improve as the evening went on. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere felt superficial. If you don’t fit a certain image, it’s clear the treatment changes. I left feeling incredibly disappointed, especially by the lack of basic courtesy from the receptionist—even on departure. Having traveled extensively and dined at Michelin-starred restaurants, I can confidently say I’ve never been treated this way.

I loved the overall experience at Chambao near Plaza Colón in Madrid. The food was excellent and the ambience was stylish and vibrant — perfect for a special night out. While the service wasn't outstanding, it was still decent by Madrid standards and didn’t take away too much from the experience. Definitely a place I’d return to for the atmosphere and quality of the food.

"Disappointing Service Overshadowed a Promising Ambiance"
For a restaurant that markets itself as high-end, the service at Chambao was unexpectedly poor. We waited nearly 10 minutes before anyone at the reception acknowledged us — and even then, the two young staff members were far from welcoming. While they may not be entirely to blame, the lack of hospitality was noticeable. Despite having a reservation at 11:30 PM, we were not seated until 12:20 AM, which suggests serious overbooking issues. The food was decent, but certainly not memorable — and for the price, there are better dining options in Madrid. The highlight of the evening was the ambiance. The DJ and live show added energy to the space and created a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, that alone isn’t enough to make up for the disappointing service and long wait.
