"Great Atmosphere, But Not Worth It for the Food"
The food was decent at best—nothing particularly memorable. Service was generally good, though the front-of-house staff gave off an oddly intense vibe, as if she were guarding the gates to heaven—definitely a bit much. The ambiance, however, was lovely: dim lighting and a cozy courtyard that makes for a pleasant setting. Unfortunately, the pricing felt off given the small portion sizes. Overall, I’d suggest visiting for evening drinks or a casual coffee date, rather than a full meal.
"Our Favorite Spot in London – A Perfect Dining Experience"
Hands down the best restaurant in London. I’m honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews because our experience was outstanding. The food was excellent, the service warm and professional, and the atmosphere absolutely charming. They were incredibly kind to our children and made us feel truly welcomed throughout the meal. This is exactly the type of place we love — relaxed, elegant, and consistently delicious. It’s at the very top of our list for when we return to London. Highly recommended!
"TikTok Pick with Great Service but Overhyped Food"
My daughter chose this spot after seeing it recommended on TikTok, so we gave it a try for lunch around 1:30 PM. The service was excellent — attentive and friendly — and the food was good overall, but not quite enough to make me want to return. I had the crab pasta, which was nice but didn’t live up to the buzz. The hot chocolate was far too dense for my taste, though the crème brûlée was absolutely to die for — just wish the portion had been a bit larger. A pleasant visit, but not quite the standout we were expecting.
"Overhyped, Overpriced, and Underwhelming Dining Experience"
We visited for dining only — not a hotel stay — and left feeling thoroughly unimpressed. This is yet another example of an overhyped, overpriced London spot that doesn't live up to the buzz. The hosts were curt and unwelcoming, setting a poor tone from the start. Throughout our visit, the wait staff repeatedly pressured us to order food or drinks every few minutes, which quickly became exhausting. The food itself was basic and uninspired, far from what you'd expect at these prices. The service structure is fragmented — each team (terrace, lounge, bar) works in isolation and showed little willingness to accommodate us, even when we had unfinished drinks. Once our area closed, we were ushered into the smoking lounge, which left our clothes reeking. Overall, the experience lacked hospitality, cohesion, and value. Disappointing and not worth a return.
"Excellent Food and Atmosphere, But Questionable Tipping Policy"
One of my favorite restaurants—consistently fantastic atmosphere and excellent food. However, I’m taking off one star due to an uncomfortable and misleading tipping setup. Our lunch for two totaled £250, with a 15% service charge already included. Despite this, the card machine still prompted for an additional 10–20% tip. When I questioned it, the waitress explained that the service charge is shared with the kitchen, while tips go directly to her. This felt like an unfair pressure tactic to encourage double tipping, and it left a sour note on an otherwise wonderful meal. I hope the management addresses this practice—transparency goes a long way in maintaining trust.
