While the spot has history and charm, the overall experience felt underwhelming. Next time, I’d probably opt for a regular churros café without the long wait or inflated expectations.

However, the outdoor service left much to be desired. Staff seemed disengaged, and despite open tables, a person on crutches had to wait unnecessarily. Once seated, we received no follow-up service. It’s a shame, as this lack of attentiveness takes away from an otherwise iconic experience. Would I recommend it? Yes—as a one-time visit for the churros and chocolate, it’s worth it. But with over 50K reviews, better service shouldn’t be too much to ask. I might try sitting indoors next time to see if the experience improves.
