"Avoid This Agency – Poor Customer Service"
Very poor customer support. Late pickup, incorrect tour info, canceled an activity with no refund, ignored our calls, and dropped us at a public station instead of providing proper transfer. Spend your money elsewhere — only positive was the guide, who was great despite everything.
"Do Not Book With This Company"
Terrible experience. Miscommunication, unprofessionalism, and complete lack of respect. After booking a sea lion tour via Viator: They changed the tour time without asking. Used a different company name on WhatsApp (Chullos Travel Peru vs. Machupicchu Holiday). Ignored my questions about the itinerary and fees. Refused hotel pickup, despite confirmation stating otherwise. Gave unclear info about extra fees — only confirmed last minute. Denied refund even though they changed the booking. Still charged a no-show fee despite multiple cancellations and clarification attempts. To top it off, they were rude to both me and hotel staff. Their responses to negative reviews speak volumes. Avoid at all costs.
"Unresponsive and Poorly Managed"
We booked a 4am pickup three weeks in advance and heard nothing. Days before the tour, I tried to confirm and update our pickup location—no response for 3 days. Only after complaining to Viator did they reply, changing our pickup time to over an hour later and refusing a refund or adjustment. I had to escalate to Viator again just to get a refund. Very frustrating experience.
"Disorganized and Unsafe – Book Elsewhere"
I booked a Rainbow Mountain tour via Viator with Chullos Travel, and they ruined what could’ve been an amazing experience. Pickup was a mess: told 4:40–5:00am, but called us at 4:10am saying they were coming in 10 mins. Then no one showed, and we were told to walk 15 mins to Plaza de Armas. Only 12 walking sticks for 18 people—not ideal at 5,200m altitude. Driver sped dangerously downhill, causing one guest to vomit and others to feel sick before lunch. Rainbow Mountain is incredible, but avoid this agency and book with a more professional operator.
