"Exceptional Luxury Stay in Arequipa"
An amazing luxury hotel within walking distance of all the historical sights and fantastic restaurants. The staff were incredible, making us feel like part of the family. Rooms were quiet and comfortable, with cozy beds. Breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of options, exclusive to hotel guests, and every dish we tried was delicious. The dining room, patio, and rooftop deck were all wonderful places to enjoy drinks, tea, or meals. Staff were extremely accommodating and always available—WhatsApp requests were fulfilled within minutes. We stayed for six nights and can highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Arequipa!

"Disappointing Booking Experience at CIRQA"
My wife and I planned to stay at CIRQA while visiting Arequipa, but friends had warned us that the hotel might not live up to its photos. Traveling in the low season, we arrived hoping to see the rooms before deciding. Unfortunately, the front desk refused to show us the rooms and instead pressured us to confirm and pay for a booking on the spot. This felt very suspicious, so we chose to stay elsewhere and were much happier with our alternative accommodation.

Our second stay at this hotel was very disappointing. Room service was extremely slow, and the staff miscalculated our bill despite my reminders before check-out. To make matters worse, they continued to hassle me after we had already left on Sunday evening during our anniversary weekend. The hotel is a small boutique property with very limited facilities, which further impacted our overall experience.

Cirqa is a beautifully restored hotel with incredible attention to detail. The architecture and ambiance are truly special, blending historic charm with luxurious comfort. We opted for the half-board option and enjoyed dinner both nights—an absolute highlight of our stay. The food was excellent, and the dining atmosphere made the experience unforgettable. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a memorable stay, and it truly shows. Though a small boutique property, Cirqa stands out as one of the most remarkable hotels we’ve visited. The rooms are very comfortable, opening onto the inner courtyard, which added to the charm rather than detracting from it.
"Disappointing Experience at CIRQA"
We went to CIRQA with a group of friends for a special gathering and had a very poor experience. While we were chatting quietly, a staff member named Roberto approached us in a very rude manner, saying that other guests had complained and essentially told us to be quiet, showing no respect or courtesy. He returned later and, instead of apologizing, maintained the same rude attitude. Additionally, we ordered water that never arrived, and the pasta that was served was overcooked and inedible. For a high-end restaurant, this level of service is unacceptable. I hope others do not have to experience such a disappointing visit.
"Beautiful Hotel, But Service Falls Short"
The hotel is well-maintained, with beautifully and thoughtfully designed rooms. However, the rooms are quite dark and have few windows, which, when opened, expose the interior to outside view. The staff were informal, and service did not meet the high standards expected from a luxury property. Turndown service was inconsistent, wet towels were left overnight creating humidity, and the welcome was casual with no orientation of the terrace or other spaces. There were also difficulties with luggage delivery, requiring us to assist the staff. While the hotel itself is beautiful, it lacks the extra touches that elevate a high-end stay. I would recommend it, but with some reservations regarding the service.
"CIRQA: A Must-Visit Boutique Hotel in Arequipa"
While many visit Arequipa to acclimate to higher altitudes before heading to Cusco, staying at CIRQA is worth the trip on its own. We spent two nights here between Lima and Cusco and were immediately impressed. The hotel entrance is almost hidden from the street, and stepping inside evokes the charm of Moroccan riads, greeted by an attentive host and guided to our room. The property is small, with only 11 immaculately decorated rooms. The design is exquisite—truly worthy of the White City and could easily grace the pages of Architectural Digest. Service is unparalleled; we wanted for nothing, from our meals to concierge support via WhatsApp throughout the day. The location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from the main square and near all key local sites. Our choice was influenced by its affiliation with Relais & Châteaux, and it fully lived up to our expectations.
