Citilink

"Very very pleased"
We were a bit nervous about flying with Citilink since it’s a relatively new service and the flights were so cheap. However, we couldn’t fault them at all. Check-in was smooth, and we were even given extra legroom at no extra cost when we asked. Meals were included, along with a bottle of water. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely fly with them again.
"Low cost airline with some extras included"
I’ve flown Citilink several times for domestic flights, and it was always the typical, average no-frills airline experience. However, my first international flight with them was a pleasant surprise, well above average. First off, the promotional price for this new route was unbelievably low, and it included a 10kg luggage allowance and a hot meal! I wasn’t expecting much, but the meal exceeded expectations. It was a full, hot meal with juice, water, dessert, etc., and tasted better than what you'd usually get on regional flights with full-service airlines. Check-in was smooth and friendly, the flight was on time, and the plane was clean. The crew was exceptionally nice and helpful. The return flight was quite empty, so we were able to move to the emergency exit row for extra legroom, free of charge. Overall, I would highly recommend Citilink for international flights. They also offer seamless single-ticket transfer options, which can make them a good choice for flights between international and domestic destinations outside of DPS/JKT. The only downside is the seat pitch, which is typical of low-cost carriers—just as cramped as on domestic flights or other international low-cost flights. But for the price and service, it’s a great option.
"No leg room"
The flight was only about an hour long, and overall, it was a good experience. Takeoff and landing were both very smooth, and the flight was on time. However, one downside was the lack of legroom, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Despite this, it was a pleasant and efficient journey.
"A good experience"
Despite some of the negative reviews I read, my experience flying with Citilink from Jakarta to Bali was excellent. The flight was on time, and they even called passengers to the gate a bit early—so be sure to stay alert. Once onboard, I was impressed by the spacious seating and good legroom. The staff were friendly and professional throughout. It was a smooth journey at a great price. Very happy with the service—thank you! ❤️
"Excellent"
We had a great flight to and from Bali, and both flights were on time. However, we didn’t receive any notification that the return flight had been brought forward by 2 hours. It would have been helpful to be informed about this change in advance. Otherwise, the flights were smooth and comfortable.
"Best Budget Airlines Ever!"
Honestly, I feel like this is a great budget airline for travelers like me. They offer affordable flights to a variety of destinations, which is a huge plus. The seats are decent for the price, and the flight attendants were very kind and attentive. I was also impressed by how well they handled a turbulent flight—safety and communication were spot-on. Overall, a solid choice if you're looking to save without sacrificing too much comfort.
"Four out of five is good enough for us."
I paid extra for a so-called “priority” seat in Citilink’s Green Zone, which I now realize must be a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Exorcist—it’s the exact same shade of unsettling green. The seat was advertised as more spacious, but I’d hate to see the standard section—my knees were firmly pressed against the seat in front, and I had to turn my head sideways just to take a sip from my water bottle. At takeoff, the passenger in front of me had already reclined their seat, and it remained that way throughout the flight. To add to the experience, the knees of the person behind me poked into my back the entire time. Some might call it a free shiatsu massage. Others, like me, call it a design flaw. On a positive note, you do get a small bottle of water. And while they still proudly mention their 4-star Skytrax rating from five years ago, I’m not sure it holds up anymore. The restroom had a lingering smell that reminded me of the sidewalks of San Francisco—not exactly premium. That said, the flight attendants were a bright spot: professional, friendly, and seemingly hired based on merit rather than image, which I truly appreciate. However, safety-wise, it was a bit concerning that a life vest lay on the floor during takeoff and remained there throughout the flight. I used to prefer Garuda Indonesia, but their current operational troubles and limited flight options have left little choice but to fly with budget airlines like Citilink. Once Garuda gets back on track, I’d gladly pay full fare for a more comfortable and trustworthy experience.
"Good airline, flight on time"
We flew with Citilink from Jakarta to Doha, and the flight was on time. While there was no complimentary food or drinks, you could pre-order a meal or purchase drinks and other items on board. The seats were typical for an Indonesian economy class, offering decent comfort. However, I was disappointed that the seats were not very clean. On a positive note, the baggage allowance was generous, and we were able to pre-order additional weight via tiket.com. Overall, a decent experience, but cleanliness could be improved.
"Good experience with Citilink from jakarta to Banyuwangi"
I had a return flight from Jakarta to Banyuwangi, and everything went smoothly with no significant issues. As expected from a budget airline, the flight was on time, the staff was friendly, and the plane was neat. Overall, a solid experience with Citilink. Good job!
"Good service"
Everything went smoothly from check-in to timely boarding and takeoff, with no delays. The staff were friendly, and despite the short flight, it was a pleasant surprise to be served a nice lunch on board.
