"Thrilling Adventure with Minor Scheduling Issues"
This was an amazing experience! My boyfriend and I did the 4-day biking, rafting, zip-lining, and hiking adventure. The biking, rafting, and hiking were all incredible highlights, while the zip-lining was fun but involved some waiting in line. The food and accommodations were great—clean, hygienic, and tasty, though slightly repetitive. Hiking was challenging but stunning; make sure to pack light as you carry your own backpack. The rafting and biking were thrilling and spectacular. The only downside was the scheduling for an additional Machu Picchu hike we booked. The tour agency booked our entrance and train times too tightly, leaving us rushed and unable to complete the hike fully, despite expressing concerns about our pace. Other tour members without the extra hike had later train times, which was confusing. Other than that, the tour was fantastic. Our guide Jonny was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone seeking adventure!
"Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Communication"
The organization was not very well organized. We received false information and faced numerous communication issues, likely due to language barriers. Flor was not available 24/7 as promised, and the guide in Aguas Calientes was unresponsive and did not answer any of our questions ☹️. Overall, the experience was frustrating and did not meet our expectations.
"Chaotic Jungle Trek Tour – Poor Organization and Extra Charges"
We went on the jungle trek tour, and it was a complete disaster! Pickup was 90 minutes late, and the drivers blasted reggaeton all morning, making it impossible to rest. They charged us 10 soles each for whitewater rafting photos, which nobody ever received. I got food poisoning the first night and couldn’t participate in day 2 activities, yet they still charged 40 soles for a ride in the same vehicle that was already transferring our bags. Pricing was inconsistent, with online pre-bookings paying the most. There are plenty of options for this trip in Cusco, so I’d recommend showing up in person and deciding on the spot instead.
"Good Tour, But Pushy Sales Tactics"
This is a decent travel agency with well-organized tours. Our trip to Humantay Lake was enjoyable, and our guide Marco was fantastic—attentive, knowledgeable, and took great care of everyone in the group. The only downside was the pushy salesperson. They really don’t take “no” for an answer, and I had to say it multiple times before they stopped. If you’re patient, you’ll still have a good experience, but be prepared for some persistent upselling.
"Disastrous Experience with Kanoo Tours and Conde Travel"
We booked a Machu Picchu tour through Kanoo Tours online, but everything went wrong once we arrived in Cuzco and were redirected to Conde Travel. The day before the tour, we received train and entrance tickets, but no other arrangements. On the day of the tour, the guide was missing, and we had to pay extra for the bus to the ruins because no tickets were provided. Even after joining another company’s tour, we were left stranded without support. When we complained at Conde Travel, the manager promised a 50% refund (~$180 per person). Later, he refused to speak with us and offered only $40—barely covering the bus. Communication was poor, and their service did not match the high prices charged. If you want a stress-free Machu Picchu trip, avoid Kanoo Tours and Conde Travel. They are dishonest, disorganized, and unresponsive to complaints.
