"Good but management…"

Management could be more polite and less arrogant

"Avoid This Hotel – Extremely Poor Experience"

Do not stay at this hotel. We booked as part of a pre-voyage trip with Lindblad/National Geographic at a high price, and our experience was terrible. Our room smelled strongly of damp cat urine and had only one frosted window looking out on the hotel’s service area. Although breakfast was included, a boxed breakfast arranged by our tour guide for an early departure was not prepared. When we raised the issue at reception, the staff argued with us and the Lindblad representative instead of trying to resolve the problem or offer a simple alternative. This was the worst hotel experience I have had at a property of this supposed caliber. Stay far away.

"Elegant Hotel in San Isidro with Excellent Service"

The hotel is lovely and elegant, featuring well-appointed rooms and a great breakfast. The staff are friendly, with Eduardo and Juan Carlos from the concierge team being particularly helpful. The gym, pool, and other public areas are very nice, and the restaurant serves excellent meals at a reasonable price. For those wanting to stay outside of bustling Miraflores and enjoy a quieter experience in San Isidro, this is an excellent choice.

"Impeccable Service and Luxurious Comfort"

Customer service and hospitality at this hotel are truly top-notch. The room was impeccably cleaned and beautifully staged, with crisp, comfortable linens and plush, highly absorbent bath sheets. My suite was impressive, maintained daily to the highest standards. Every detail contributed to a stay that was both relaxing and luxurious.

"Exceptional Hotel with a Noise Challenge"

Everything about this hotel is truly exceptional—from the service and cleanliness to the amenities, it delivers a solid 5-star experience. The rooms are well-appointed, the staff attentive, and the overall atmosphere luxurious. However, a significant drawback impacted our stay: directly behind the hotel is an open-air sports complex just about 15 feet away. It is active daily from 8 AM to 11 PM, with loud basketball games, shouting, and children playing, and the noise carries easily into the rooms. Even with the outside double doors closed, it was difficult to relax, especially in the evenings. The hotel is otherwise wonderful, but addressing this noise issue—through soundproofing, scheduling limits, or at least informing guests in advance—would make an excellent property truly perfect.

"A Timeless Lima Classic – Unforgettable Stay at Country Club Lima Hotel"

An absolute must-stay when visiting Lima. This grand, old-school hotel exudes a calm and peaceful atmosphere, combining elegance with a relaxed, unpretentious charm. It’s easily one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. The hotel’s restaurant is exceptional, offering both indoor and outdoor dining with a menu full of incredible Peruvian cuisine. The staff on the floor and in the kitchen go above and beyond to delight your taste buds for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Room service is equally superb, and the staff across the hotel are consistently excellent. Housekeeping and laundry services are impeccable, matching the high standards set by the rest of the hotel. For anyone visiting Lima, the Country Club Lima Hotel is an essential experience—charming, luxurious, and unforgettable.

"Disappointing Customer Service and Unacceptable Experiences"

Terrible customer care during our stay. We attended a wedding at the hotel, and many guests had serious issues that were handled poorly. Despite reserving a crib six months in advance, we had to go out and purchase a mattress ourselves. The hotel’s response to these problems was completely unacceptable, making what should have been a special occasion very frustrating and disappointing.

"Beautiful Historic Hotel with Room for Improvement in Service"

Overall, the hotel was incredible—very clean, with beautifully maintained bedrooms. The property, over 100 years old, has been exceptionally well preserved. The front desk and bellman were very welcoming. However, the food could be improved, and the wait staff did not meet expectations. While the hotel itself is impressive, I’m unsure if I would return due to the service issues.

"Beautiful Hotel, But Service Left a Strange Impression"

The hotel itself is stunning, with a grand lobby and well-appointed garden suites. After completing the Inca Trail, my stay felt like a well-deserved reward. The property exudes luxury and charm reminiscent of iconic hotels like Raffles in Singapore or the Yale Club in NYC. The rooms are spacious, the wood-paneled bar has a cozy, clubby feel, and the Pisco Sours are excellent. The restaurant is a pleasant spot for a late dinner, with good food and atmosphere. However, several service issues made my stay less enjoyable: Garden Suite Noise: I booked a Garden Suite to enjoy a quiet evening coffee outside. Unfortunately, the room backed onto a school, and after-school activities created constant noise until the evening. Morning music started at 7 AM, preventing any quiet enjoyment. Although the front desk offered a room change, I was still left feeling that this type of room did not meet expectations. Breakfast Confusion: At check-in, staff informed me of the breakfast hours, implying it was included. The next morning, I was followed by a server demanding payment. I was told breakfast was not included, and there was no resolution offered. No prior mention of cost or menu was provided—an unusual practice for a “Leading Hotel of the World.” Mini-Bar Incident: While collecting personal items during checkout, I returned to my room to find a staff member inside checking the mini-bar with the door wide open. This lack of trust was unsettling, especially with valuables in the room. While the hotel is beautiful and some staff were excellent, I often felt unwelcome compared to other luxury hotels in Peru. The service inconsistencies, particularly at this price point, were disappointing. I will likely choose another hotel in Miraflores next time, where attentive, respectful service matches the premium experience.

"Grand Hotel, But Service Falls Short"

The hotel is truly grand, with a beautiful old building, impressive entrance, elegant lobby, and lovely rooms. Unfortunately, the experience was significantly let down by poor service. From check-in to housekeeping, attention to detail was lacking. Used glasses were left in the room, towels remained in the bath, and requested drinks never arrived. With better service, this hotel could have been an exceptional stay.
