"Ali"
This hotel is very old and poorly maintained. The lifts have a strong, unpleasant smell, and when you walk out towards the pool area, you’re forced to pass through a restaurant that smells bad even when it’s closed. The rooms are extremely outdated and in desperate need of renovation. For the price charged, the condition of the hotel is a complete rip-off. This is nowhere near a 4 or 5-star standard — I’ve stayed in many 4 and 5-star hotels around the world, and this doesn’t even come close.
"Amazing stay"
The staff here are absolutely lovely, and a special thanks to Rim the concierge, who was amazing in helping us upgrade. She went above and beyond to assist us — we can’t thank her enough! The reception team was also fantastic, even helping us arrange a takeaway when my wife wasn’t feeling well. Our new room is stunning. Thank you for making our stay so special!
"A mixed bag keep your identity on your phone"
I stayed here for 9 nights during the winter season for dental purposes and have mixed feelings about the experience. Starting with the positives, Hema at the Zeus Spa is truly outstanding. As someone who has had many massages over the years, I can confidently say she is one of the best—definitely 5-star quality. She also speaks excellent English, which is a real bonus, and I highly recommend trying the Turkish bath if you haven’t experienced one before. The indoor pool was another highlight. I was able to swim frequently since it was quiet and often empty—something that probably wouldn’t be possible in the summer months. My room was spacious, clean, and offered lovely sea views from a small balcony. Room service was excellent, and the amenities such as the safe, kettle, TV, and ample storage space were all perfectly adequate. On the downside, the restaurant on the 10th floor left much to be desired. The meals were average, and drinks were extremely overpriced. Main courses typically consisted of meat or fish, half a potato, and a small portion of vegetables served on a large plate that felt half empty. While the food quality was acceptable, I’ve had far better dining experiences elsewhere. That said, the restaurant was convenient. There was also an issue with my card payment—the only time I used it—which was charged three times after the waiter insisted the payment hadn’t gone through. Resolving this took until the next day due to internal bureaucracy. It was stressful checking my bank account and realizing the error, and this should have been addressed immediately. The hotel’s location is convenient, and the promenade walks could have been a real highlight if not for the repeated interruptions by police. Each time I walked along the promenade, I was stopped for identity checks without clear reason. To avoid the hassle, you have to cross the road to bypass them. I recommend keeping a photo of your passport on your phone. This issue has apparently been ongoing for months, and I even met other guests who felt so uncomfortable they stopped going out altogether. Overall, it was a mixed experience with some excellent aspects—like the spa and pool—and some disappointments, some within the hotel’s control and others not. I’m unsure if I’ll return to this hotel when I come back in June, but one thing is certain: I’ll definitely be coming back for another massage.
"Good."
The hotel, although a little old, is very good overall! The spectacular sea views are a real highlight, and there are plenty of great places nearby to explore. The breakfast is full and satisfying, but it only starts serving from 8:00 AM, which can be an issue if you need an early start. One downside is the hairdryer—it’s very old and tends to shut down, which can be frustrating.
"Not a 5 star hotel"
We originally booked our stay from 24/07 but decided to add an extra day after reading such positive reviews about this hotel. We arrived on 23/07 with our two children and were given a suite, as all other rooms were fully booked. Upon check-in, the reception assured us that staff would promptly bring a baby bed and an extra bed for our 6-year-old and 1.5-year-old. However, the baby bed they delivered was broken and unsafe—our toddler could easily climb out of it. To make matters worse, we were told this was the last baby bed available, and we would simply have to make do. They also informed us there were no extra beds left, so we were advised to use the sofa. For a 5-star hotel, we found it unacceptable to have only a broken baby bed on hand. We called the reception to complain, and to our surprise, the staff seemed unaware of the situation. Just five minutes later, they brought a new (and intact) baby bed, which left us questioning why we were initially told otherwise. The next day (24/07), we were scheduled to change rooms as per our original booking. Reception advised us to come after breakfast to handle the move. When we arrived after breakfast, we were told the new room wasn’t ready and asked to return at 10:30 AM. We decided to wait at the hotel rather than go out. At 10:30, we checked again but were informed the room still wasn’t ready. This repeated rescheduling was extremely frustrating. While we understand delays can happen, it’s not acceptable to repeatedly promise something and fail to follow through—especially in a hotel of this standard. Fed up, we told the reception we would be heading out and insisted they move our belongings and ensure a baby bed was prepared in the new room before we returned. They assured us everything would be sorted. Unfortunately, when we came back hours later, we were given keys to a room with no baby bed and an air conditioner that wasn’t working properly. Once again, we had to contact the reception, and while they eventually sent up a baby bed and a technician for the air conditioning, the repeated oversights left us very disappointed. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the reception staff, but we didn’t feel they took our concerns seriously or offered any real apology for the inconvenience. For a hotel claiming to be 5-star, these repeated issues—broken equipment, delays, and poor communication—are simply unacceptable. We didn’t feel cared for as guests and have chosen to share this experience to warn other families with young children.
"Great location, very relaxing break."
We’ve just returned from a lovely week here and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The hotel is in a great location, with a tunnel leading directly to a beautiful beach with crystal-clear water. Around the pool, there was a great mix of music and a welcoming rooftop bar to enjoy. There were always plenty of sun loungers available right by the pool, which made relaxing easy. Our room was cleaned daily to a very high standard, and the lobby area was always spotless. The reception team were really helpful throughout our stay—we even arranged a late check-out, which allowed us to make the most of our last day by the pool. We would definitely return!
"The Crown needs polishing .."
This hotel is conveniently located next to the promenade, with direct underground access to the beach. However, in terms of accessibility, it’s not the most ideal—you’ll still need a taxi to get around, and it’s about 25 minutes to the old town. The housekeeping team was excellent—friendly and prompt with their service. However, the front lobby staff could have been more attentive. They initially gave us the wrong keys and room, which we only discovered when trying to log in to the Wi-Fi. The furniture and amenities are quite dated, so don’t expect much in terms of modern comforts. Overall, it’s a basic hotel. I stayed for two nights and found the service sufficient for a short stay.
"Birthday weekend"
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt I should for this stay—even if it’s a little late. Our experience was great overall. The reception staff were professional, helpful, and welcoming throughout our trip. A special thank you to Rim at reception, who went above and beyond—she surprised me with a cake and bottle of wine in our room for my birthday. She was always smiling and happy to help, which really made our stay feel special. As for the hotel, while the rooms are slightly dated, they were very clean, spacious, and the corner jacuzzi was a lovely touch. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The rooftop restaurant was perfect for a morning coffee or a light bite, offering beautiful views. The only small downside was the breakfast—it was fine but the selection felt a little limited. This is why I’ve given 4 out of 5 overall. Still, it was a lovely and relaxed stay, and once again, thanks to Rim for her thoughtfulness and excellent service.
"Summers stay at crowne plaza"
Mustafa, Omar, Tuna, Usman, and all the staff were fantastic—honestly, they’re what made the stay so special. The service was excellent throughout. The hotel itself has a beautiful setting with a convenient location right by the beach and only about 15 minutes to the old town by taxi. The indoor pool was perfect for a quick dip, and with the heat, you dry off in no time! ☀️ The gym could use a little attention (the lat pulldown machine was broken), but there are dip bars across the road on the beach, which is a nice alternative. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel, but it’s truly the staff that make it stand out.
"Close to beach"
This is a nice hotel located close to the beach (note: the beach is pebbly, not sandy) with a convenient underground connection. The pool and rooms were fine—not quite 5-star level—but comfortable enough. Breakfast was also good. The menu prices were reasonable, and the food quality was satisfying. However, the advertised entertainment (music) was cancelled twice during our stay, which was a disappointment. The highlight was the beautiful view from the 10th-floor restaurant and bar, which opens after 6 p.m.—a perfect spot to relax in the evening.
