"Horrible Bus Experience from Ica to Lima"

My trip from Ica to Lima on October 13 was terrible. The bus (#8234) departed 40 minutes late at 8:00 AM instead of 7:20 AM. The second-floor air conditioning wasn’t working, yet they continued operating the bus without fixing it, leaving passengers stuck for four hours in a stifling 30°C environment with no airflow. Nobody could sleep, and it was extremely uncomfortable for everyone. On top of that, the shelf at my seat was falling apart—I tried to tighten the only remaining screw, but it couldn’t hold any weight. I strongly recommend choosing a different bus company to avoid this nightmare experience.

"Clean and Bright, But Slow Ticket Process"

The place is clean and well-lit, creating a pleasant environment. However, the ticket purchasing process is poorly organized and quite slow, which can be frustrating for visitors.

"Overly Strict Rules Overshadow Comfortable Buses"

The buses themselves are nice, but the company takes themselves far too seriously. They checked luggage, verified IDs/passports before boarding, and even refused to let my nephew travel with his legal guardian simply because a parent wasn’t present—despite it being clear from the ID that everything was legitimate. It’s just an intercity bus trip, not an international flight! I’ve traveled all over the world and have never encountered this level of unnecessary hassle. Even in the UK, presenting a ticket is usually enough to board.

"Clean and Organized Terminal with Free Wi-Fi"

The terminal is well-organized and very clean, making for a comfortable experience. As of this post date, free Wi-Fi is also available, which is a great convenience for travelers.

"Unfair Refund Fee for Company-Initiated Cancellation"

I booked a ticket from Lima to Cusco and received a notification just one day before departure—only via WhatsApp, not by email or text—stating that the bus was cancelled due to slippery roads during the rainy season. While I completely understand and accept the cancellation for safety reasons, I was shocked when customer service said I would have to pay a 10 Sol handling fee for the refund. I pointed out that it was the bus company that cancelled the trip, not the passenger, so why should I be charged? Customer service insisted it was company policy and included in the ticket terms, but it feels unreasonable for the company to cancel a trip for safety and then charge passengers a refund fee.

"Decent Intercity Transport, But Seating Could Be Better"

If you’re traveling with this bus company, make sure to bring your passport if you’re not from Peru, or a national ID if you are—they won’t accept a photo of your ID or passport. Overall, the service is decent for traveling between major cities. The buses were punctual, boarding was quick, and both the bus and station were clean and well-maintained. The drive from Lima to Ica was smooth, and you’re allowed to bring food and drinks onboard. However, the seating experience was disappointing, which is why I give it only 3 stars. The curtains between seats are poorly designed, blocking air conditioning for both passengers. Closing the curtain at a window seat means you get all the AC while the other passenger gets none, making the setup uncomfortable.

"Strict Rules and Disappointing In-Bus Entertainment"

The company does not accept digital copies of passports, unlike in other countries, which caused unnecessary trouble. Even though the bus wasn’t crossing any international borders, we were denied boarding for not having a physical passport and had to buy another ticket with no refund. The rules are overly strict and create needless bureaucracy. On the bus itself (Evolution on the way there, Suite on the way back), the experience was slightly better—the seats were very comfortable. However, the air conditioning was blasting for no reason, wasting energy, and the in-seat screens were disappointing. The audiobooks and movies were poor quality, and the touch controls often didn’t work. Overall, while the buses were comfortable, the strict rules and poor entertainment experience left much to be desired.
