"Prioritizing infrequent flyers over diamond medallion flyers"

When initially purchasing a Delta seat, upgrading to First Class is usually quite expensive. Therefore it is rare that they sell out their first class seats initially. When Delta doesn’t sell all those first class seats early on (typical), Delta will do a “reverse auction” by continually lowering the price of those first class seats, until all the seats are sold.Usually at rock bottom prices. But Delta doesn’t want their best customers / Diamond Medallion to see how cheaply they are selling those seats to random customers, so they block us (Diamond Medallion / Loyal customers) from being able to upgrade to First for a fee. On the app, all those first class seats are just X’ed out and unavailable to us!! So next time all you diamond medallion customers are sitting in comfort plus, and wondering who paid those huge prices to get into first class, please know that those are mostly non-loyal customers that bought the seat very inexpensively!! And those inexpensive seats were never made available to you, Delta‘s best customers! Delta does not take care of the best customers. If I was more motivated, I would post about this a lot. I will start now. I’ve already started flying other airlines.

"Amazing!!!"

We almost didn’t make it to Minneapolis because my husband forgot to get us our ESTAs—but the team went above and beyond to help us! Their patience and support were incredible, and we made it by the skin of our teeth! A special shout-out to Caroline, who was absolutely amazing, and also to the lovely Delta staff member with red hair who helped rebook our flights (sorry we didn’t catch your name!). Thank you both so much—we made it! 🙌✈️💙

"It was ok…"

Delta is one of the best airlines out there. My 5-hour flight was delayed by an hour, which wasn’t ideal, but the rest of the experience made up for it. The seats were comfortable, service was great, and the in-flight entertainment was top-notch—even on the older Boeing 757-200 with updated screens. Delta really shines when it comes to IFE and overall comfort!

"Delta hits the mark again!"

Round-trip JFK to Athens with Delta and everything was perfect! Flights were on time, service was great, and the exit row seats in Row 43 were absolutely worth the extra cost—way more legroom than Comfort+. Best of all, Delta helped me avoid getting stranded due to a strike in Greece by rebooking me a day earlier with no extra fees. Excellent crew, smooth flights, and amazing customer service. I LOVE Delta!

"Delta flight"

The best SunChips—almost too good to be true! Everyone was so kind. They even gave me candy and a stuffed Peep for Easter. Thank you, Delta!

"Complicated Problem Solved"

A friend canceled last minute and said the flights were too expensive—none of this was Delta's fault. Thankfully, Lane, Robert, Allison, and Jacob went above and beyond to resolve everything. I received a full refund and will definitely choose Delta for my trip to Seattle. Thank you, Delta!

"Flight good, MCO staff awful and Blame Virgin Atlantic for every one of their mistakes."

The flight itself was excellent—brand new A330neo, comfortable premium seats, and a friendly crew. I'd absolutely fly again based on the in-air experience. However, the ground staff at MCO were a different story: rude, unprofessional, and clearly untrained. They lied about upgrade options (which I was willing to pay for), mishandled multiple passenger issues, and consistently blamed Virgin Atlantic for problems that were clearly on them. As someone who’s worked in the industry, I can say confidently—Delta, your MCO ground team needs serious training.

"A frantic race to make our flight due to flight time changes."

My wife and I were scheduled to fly on March 5, 2025, with a 2:20 PM departure. Due to early morning snowfall, we were first notified of a delay to 3:15 PM, then to 4:00 PM—no problem so far. But around 11 AM, we got a new update: the flight was now departing at 3:05 PM. Living 1.5 hours from MSP (and with icy roads), we had to rush and barely made it. The flight eventually departed under sunny skies, but despite switching to a larger aircraft with many empty seats, we were still packed tightly and not allowed to move. The ride was bumpy, and we experienced a delayed landing.

"The WORST! Flight 1509 to Houston, Texas"

Where should I begin? Sitting in the very last row of the main cabin, the engine noise was so overwhelming that I feared I might lose my hearing. When I requested earplugs, the flight attendant replied, "We don't have any." Seriously? Since when? In that same seat, whenever the engine revved up, the seat would shake as if I were sitting directly on top of the engine. The flight attendant stationed at the back of the plane was a middle-aged white woman, short and slightly overweight, who seemed to despise her job; she was rude and unfriendly. During the flight announcements, she spoke so quickly that it was impossible to comprehend what she was saying. In the event of a real emergency, passengers would have been clueless about the emergency equipment and exits because they couldn't understand her rapid speech. There were no in-flight movies or screens on the backs of the airplane seats. My seat didn't recline, and after being awake for 24 hours, I had hoped to catch some rest on the plane, but that was not to be. Upon disembarking, I felt as if I had been hit by a freight train; my back ached from leaning forward in an attempt to rest my head, I had a headache from the incessant engine noise, and my ears felt like they were about to burst! The aircraft is outdated and should be decommissioned. During takeoff, I felt something was amiss with the aircraft; the pilot would throttle the engines as if we were ready for takeoff, yet nothing happened, and this continued for approximately 15 minutes. I genuinely believed the aircraft wouldn't succeed in taking off. The pilot seemed inexperienced, as the landing was extremely nerve-wracking, with the aircraft swaying unpredictably. Additionally, let me emphasize, if you choose to fly on this aircraft, do not squander your money on first-class or comfort seats, as there is virtually no distinction; you can see first class from the rear of the aircraft. I have traveled with Delta numerous times across all seat categories and have never encountered an experience like that; it was the worst experience ever, and I dread the flight home, it is the same plane!
