"Frustrating Experience with Deutschlandticket Payment and Customer Service"
I booked a Deutschlandticket for my June–July holiday and successfully received the ticket in the DB Navigator app. However, I later received a notice claiming I hadn’t paid for my subscription. While the payment hadn’t gone through, the system still issued my ticket and confirmation without any problems. Despite multiple attempts, DB couldn’t charge my selected payment method and shifted the responsibility to me. After several calls to customer service — many of which were abruptly disconnected — I finally received an email from the ABO team claiming there was no active ticket under my name, which is clearly false. This entire situation shows poor system management and unprofessional handling. If certain payment methods aren’t properly supported, they shouldn’t be offered, especially when the booking appears successful to the customer. Overall, an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience.
"Modern and Stylish Workspace"
Great campus with chic, modern offices — a really pleasant environment to work or visit.
"⭐ 1/5 — Unacceptable Service and Refund Policy"
Over 14 hours and 5 connections later, I finally arrived in Berlin from Amsterdam — on what was supposed to be a 5-hour direct trip. When the train was cancelled, a reasonable company would have arranged buses for passengers. Instead, there was no proper alternative and now they only offer a 50% refund for a train that never existed. This feels close to a scam. Extremely disappointing experience.
"Still the Best Way to Travel Germany"
I’ve always had wonderful travel experiences with Deutsche Bahn. Despite the clear issues caused by years of financial neglect—especially compared to places like Austria or Saxony that have invested far more in their rail systems—I still find it brilliant to glide quietly and comfortably through the country on the ICE. Even with the usual delays, it’s a thousand times more relaxing than driving on the autobahn. I also love that children travel for free (unlike in France), and most of the staff are very friendly, even while dealing with all the challenges.
"Missed International Connection Due to Multiple No-Show Trains"
Since I have nothing else to do but wait and watch myself miss my international connection from Berlin—thanks to not one, but three regional trains that simply never showed up (not delayed, just completely absent!)—I might as well leave this review. This level of unreliability is unacceptable. Shame on you, Deutsche Bahn. Truly shameful service!
"Pleasant Surprise: WiFi and Power Plugs Onboard!"
There’s WiFi and a plug in the train—great for staying connected and charged during the trip!
"Reliable Enough, But Always Late"
It gets me where I need to go—just usually a few hours behind schedule! :)
