"A Bold Culinary Journey — But Not for Everyone"
Dining at a multi-starred restaurant comes with high expectations, and while our 18-course tasting menu (€200 per person) had its highs, the experience was a mix of brilliant moments and others that left us underwhelmed. Standout dishes like the shrimp bisque, truffled vegetables, leek creation, and caviar canapé were truly exceptional—clever, flavorful, and memorable. However, several other courses leaned more on conceptual originality than satisfying taste, with textures and presentations taking the spotlight over depth of flavor. The dessert sequence, in particular, felt too experimental for those who enjoy a sweet finish. Service was impeccable, and the wine list vast—though heavily focused on lesser-known labels, which may delight wine enthusiasts but pose a challenge to the uninitiated. Chef’s visit to each table during dessert was a warm and appreciated gesture. In the end, whether it's worth the price depends on what you're seeking: if you're after innovation and a sensory adventure, this place delivers. If you're more traditional in your tastes, you may find greater satisfaction (and value) elsewhere.
"Impressive Technique, But Lacking in Flavor Fulfillment"
The restaurant offers a visually striking and imaginative experience, with impeccable service and a warm, engaging environment. The trompe l’oeil presentations are genuinely impressive—clever illusions that showcase the immense technical skill and creativity of the kitchen team. The dedication behind transforming familiar visuals into unexpected flavors deserves recognition. However, while the visual magic is commendable, the flavor profiles often didn’t meet expectations. Dishes like a faux chorizo or a cheese-flavored “potato” wowed in concept but fell short in overall taste and satisfaction. The emphasis seemed to rest more on illusion and less on creating something truly delicious. It’s absolutely worth visiting once for the uniqueness of the concept, but from a culinary standpoint, we left wanting more. A memorable show—but not a repeat performance for us.
"A Stylish Experience That Fell Slightly Short on Flavor"
This hidden gem—with no name on the door—immediately sets a tone of exclusivity and intrigue. The open kitchen allows you to follow the chef’s movements, creating a dynamic connection between diner and cuisine. The service was attentive and informative, with each dish accompanied by a clear explanation. The starters offered a mix of creativity and execution, though not all stood out equally. While the savory courses were enjoyable, the desserts felt underwhelming and didn’t provide the grand finale I was hoping for. Overall, the menu lacked the flavor depth I expected from such a concept-forward space. That said, the ambiance was excellent—an industrial chic design done right, and a perfectly curated music selection playing at just the right volume. It’s a pleasant evening, but for me, it didn’t fully meet the high expectations I had.
"Underwhelming for a Two-Star Experience"
Our visit left us somewhat disappointed considering the restaurant's two Michelin stars. While there were a couple of standout dishes—the pâté and the tuna heart—that delivered the kind of magic and flair one hopes for at this level, much of the experience fell short of expectations. We found the service to be polite but lacking in storytelling and detail. A more engaging presentation of the dishes could have added greatly to the experience. Compared to other similarly rated establishments—like our visit to Mejorar in October—this felt less immersive and refined. That said, the truffle and caviar dishes were excellent in both flavor and texture. However, others, like the tortilla and tomato, didn’t live up to the same standard and felt a bit flat. Overall, it was a decent meal with a few highlights, but not compelling enough for a return visit. At this level, every detail matters, and unfortunately, several were missing.
"A Truly Memorable Dining Experience"
Spectacular food, serene ambiance, and flawless service made this visit unforgettable. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, allowing us to enjoy each dish without distraction. A special mention goes to the kitchen staff—especially the young chef who came out to explain and assemble several dishes tableside. Her passion and precision added a personal and unique touch to the experience. The waitstaff were equally attentive and genuinely kind, enhancing the sense of being well cared for throughout the meal. This combination of exquisite cuisine, warm hospitality, and a peaceful setting makes it a place I’d gladly return to. Highly recommended.
"Impressive 2-Star Dining with a Few Minor Wishes"
This was a fantastic gastronomic experience overall—truly deserving of its two Michelin stars. The creativity and execution in the kitchen are remarkable. Highlights for me included the anchovy lasagna, smoked butter with caviar, the eel with chicken, and the corn dish—all absolutely outstanding in flavor and presentation. That said, I would have appreciated a slightly more generous portion size, and perhaps the inclusion of more vegetable-forward dishes to balance the menu. But these are minor points in what was otherwise a memorable and beautifully curated meal. Definitely worth visiting for any food lover.
