"Flawless Precision, but Lacking Heart — A Cold 3-Star Experience"
I dined here for my birthday and had noted it while making the reservation — the restaurant even asks about the occasion. Yet, there was no acknowledgment at all: no card, no word, no gesture — nothing to make the celebration feel special. It left me wondering why they even ask. The service, however, was excellent. The servers were friendly, warm, and full of humor and kindness, clearly doing their best within a rigid system. The dishes themselves were impeccable — beautifully presented, flavorful, and executed with absolute precision, as one would expect from a three-star kitchen. Every course was ritualistically served, flawless and almost robotic in perfection. The issue, in my view, lies not with the staff but with management. While the technical mastery of the food is undeniable, the experience feels emotionally cold. If you’re seeking artistry and faultless execution, this restaurant delivers; if you’re hoping for warmth, personal touches, or a sense of occasion, you may leave feeling underwhelmed.
"A Truly Fantastic and Memorable Dining Experience"
What a fantastic experience! Every dish was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, with flavors that were both complex and harmonious. The attention to detail in the presentation made each course feel like a work of art. The service was attentive, warm, and genuinely kind, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. A special highlight was the behind-the-scenes glimpse of the kitchen and the opportunity to meet the chef — a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more memorable. Truly a dining experience to remember!
"Beautiful Ambiance and Service, but Food Falls Short of Memorable"
The food presentation and ambiance at this restaurant are truly stunning, and the service is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was well-prepared and flavorful, but unfortunately, none left a lasting impression. Given the high price point, I’m torn about returning — while the overall experience is elegant and refined, the lack of standout dishes makes it a 50-50 decision for a revisit.
"Elegant Breakfast Experience at a 3-Star Michelin Restaurant"
During our stay at the hotel, we had the privilege of enjoying breakfast at this Michelin 3-star restaurant. The space is beautifully elegant, and the service is impeccable. With only a few guests dining at the time, the atmosphere was quiet, calm, and extremely pleasant. The food was excellent, with the pastries truly standing out — the hazelnut Danish was particularly delicious. The eggs were cooked to perfection, perfectly runny, adding to a breakfast experience that felt both refined and indulgent. A wonderful way to start the day in style.
"Exceptional Dishes but Mixed Experience at Lunch"
I visited for lunch and found the tasting menu a bit too heavy, plus it didn’t include some dishes I was eager to try, so I opted à la carte instead. I chose the pigeon and the sweetbread, and both were absolutely delicious and truly memorable — the highlights of the meal. That said, the overall atmosphere felt a bit off compared to past visits, both in terms of staff energy and the vibe of other guests. The wine list was overpriced, with few options worth trying, and even wines by the glass felt excessively expensive. For a more enjoyable and reasonably paced experience, I’d recommend following my approach: visit for lunch, savor the outstanding dishes, and pair them with sparkling water rather than investing heavily in wine.
"A Sublime Culinary Journey at Epicure"
Last night, we experienced an extraordinary dinner at Epicure, where sophistication and elegance meet impeccable service. The staff were attentive and professional, making the evening feel seamless and special from start to finish. The food was exceptional, each dish surpassing our expectations. The green asparagus was fresh and perfectly prepared, a delightful way to begin the meal. The Brittany spider crab was delicately seasoned with a texture that highlighted its natural flavors. The blue lobster from Côte d’Opale was divine — juicy, tender, and beautifully complemented by its accompanying sauce. The Sisteron lamb was rich and flavorful, paired with a side that enhanced its depth. Seasonal aged cheeses offered a refined glimpse into the best of French cheese culture, and the Tahitian vanilla desserts, along with assorted ice creams and sorbets, were artistic and indulgent, providing a perfect finale. A standout of the evening was the wine selection and expertly curated pairings, particularly the Mosel “Wehlener Sonnenuhr” Grosses Gewächs 2012 and Côtes du Roussillon Villages “Les Myrs” Domaine Danjou-Banessy, which elevated every dish. Epicure is far more than just a restaurant — it’s a full sensory journey. For anyone seeking an unforgettable fine dining experience in Paris, this is an absolute must-visit. We left impressed and already looking forward to our next visit.
"Stunning Presentation but Underwhelming Flavors"
The presentation at this restaurant was absolutely spectacular, and the view added a lovely touch to the dining experience. We enjoyed a six-course tasting menu, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. Having dined at many top restaurants worldwide, we had high hopes given the attentive service and price point. The chicken was somewhat dry and lacked tenderness, despite a flavorful sauce — in my opinion, a perfectly cooked piece of meat doesn’t need a sauce to shine. The chocolate dessert at the end was disappointing, tasting artificial with an unusual jelly layer inside. The crab starter was passable, but overall, many dishes relied heavily on sauces that overpowered the natural flavors of the main ingredients. For the price we paid, the experience fell short of what we anticipated. While visually stunning and well-serviced, the food itself was underwhelming.
"A Culinary Masterpiece — Unmatched Dining at Its Finest"
Calling this dinner “fantastic” doesn’t even begin to capture the experience. From the moment we sat down until the time they called us a taxi, the service was flawless — attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. The wine pairings were exceptional, perfectly complementing each course, and the caviar was simply outstanding. The tasting menu itself was a true journey through a culinary wonderland, with each dish more inventive and delicious than the last. This is, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend it and can’t wait for the opportunity to return on my next visit to Paris.
"Prestigious but Underwhelming — A Disappointing Visit to Epicure"
Epicure, a three-star Michelin restaurant in Paris, left me with mixed feelings on my recent visit. Despite its stellar reputation, my experience fell short of expectations. The ambiance did not resonate with my personal tastes, lacking the charm and appeal found in other fine dining establishments. It failed to enhance the overall dining experience as I had hoped. Service was another concern. I felt uneasy as staff repeatedly checked on my friend whenever she left portions unfinished, asking why she hadn’t eaten it, which felt intrusive. Additionally, one staff member eavesdropped on our conversation and even joined in, and I was served a juice without requesting it. These interactions detracted from what should have been an elegant experience. The dishes themselves felt somewhat repetitive. Compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve visited, the menu lacked innovation and diversity, and nothing truly stood out. While Epicure holds a prestigious Michelin status, my personal experience was disappointing. Between the ambiance, service, and unremarkable menu, it did not meet the high expectations or justify the acclaim. For those seeking an exceptional dining experience in Paris, I would recommend exploring other renowned Michelin-starred restaurants in the city.
"Warm Hospitality and Culinary Mastery at Epicure"
We felt incredibly welcomed and pampered by every member of the Epicure team. Having dined here before, it was a lovely surprise to have our table thoughtfully arranged to enjoy the restaurant’s view from a fresh perspective. The interactions with the staff throughout the meal were graceful and memorable, making the experience truly unforgettable. Each dish was a work of culinary art, with generous portions that delighted every sense. The lobster appetizer was an epic highlight — exquisite in every detail — and we savored every bite of the cheese course once again. Thank you to the entire team for hosting us in such an elegant, warm, and authentically Parisian way.
