"Disappointing Experience: Poor Service and No Accountability"

We joined several tours with this travel agency, but unfortunately, a couple of them had major issues. When we went to their office to request a reimbursement, they claimed they didn’t know who we were—completely denying that we had ever booked with them. It felt like we were being ghosted!

"A Dream Trip to Machu Picchu Made Effortless by Exploor!"

Every year we visit a new world wonder, and this year it was Machu Picchu! After years of following Exploor on Instagram, I knew they were the right team to help plan our once-in-a-lifetime adventure—and they truly exceeded expectations. From start to finish, the communication and coordination were flawless. They tailored our itinerary to minimize backtracking and maximize every moment, especially for the best photo ops with fewer crowds. Each evening, we received a WhatsApp message with the next day’s guide, driver, and agenda. Our guides were kind, spoke excellent English, and were incredibly knowledgeable about every site. They knew all the best photo spots and truly made our time in Peru unforgettable. A huge thank you to Konsti, Fabiola, Rosmy, Fiama, Claudia, Kendi, Liliana, Harrold, Yhosimar, Rosa, Jackie, Herman, Junior & Walter—you made our trip so special! Highly, highly recommend Exploor to anyone visiting Peru!

"Overpriced and Disappointing – Look Elsewhere"

I had a terrible experience with this company, and it was definitely not worth the high price. For the quality of service provided, there are much better and more affordable options available. To the company: Please take this feedback seriously—my rating reflects my genuine experience. This anonymous review is meant to protect my identity from what I perceive as exploitative practices by Exploor. I strongly urge others to reconsider before booking with this provider.

"Unforgettable Peru Adventure – 100% Thanks to Exploor"

This was by far one of the most spectacular travel experiences of my life, and I give full credit to Exploor Peru. They flawlessly coordinated every detail for my cousin and me—from timely pickups and smooth transitions to private-like tours of Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain, Lake Titicaca, Huacachina, and Humantay Lake. We stayed in top-tier hotels, enjoyed excellent included meals, and felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. They even surprised me with birthday gifts during the trip—an incredibly thoughtful touch. Huge thanks to Claudia, Karina, Liliana, Roger, Julio, and Konstantin for making our journey so special. For anyone looking to explore Peru without the stress of planning, I highly recommend Exploor—they truly go above and beyond.

"Highly Recommended – Perfect Honeymoon Experience"

10/10 would recommend! After comparing 10+ tour companies, we chose Exploor for their fair pricing, flexible scheduling, and detailed itineraries. They made our honeymoon seamless—from the warm welcome in Cusco to the personalized service each day. Staying at the JW Marriott was a highlight, with its Inca history, amazing buffet, and free experiences like pisco sour classes and garden tours. Exploor truly delivered!

"Extremely Disappointed – You Failed Your Promise"

Sorry, Exploor, but your explanation is completely wrong. Machu Picchu was not fully closed that day—the entrance was just delayed. I’ll be getting video proof to back this up. The real issue was with your poor scheduling. You planned the main highlight of my entire trip—visiting Machu Picchu—on the last day, the same day I had a flight back to Lima in the evening. I arrived at Machu Picchu Pueblo at 9:00 AM and had to take the train back at 2:00 PM. That left me with barely enough time if everything went perfectly. It didn’t. Your representative was nowhere to be found and didn’t even bother to check in with us. Had they reacted faster or been present, we could have entered the site. But we were left completely unsupported. When I called you before coming to Peru, I made it clear: seeing Machu Picchu was my only priority. That was the whole point of the trip. And you failed. Badly. I spent around $5,000 on this trip and only asked for a refund for the portion I paid to you. You charged me around $1,000 for the last day alone—for a train, a shuttle, a bus, a Machu Picchu entrance I never used, and a forgettable salad. That’s $1,000 for six hours of frustration and zero delivery on your promises. The respectful and reasonable thing to do would have been to refund the full amount for that day. Instead, you offered me $75, which feels like a joke and an insult. Your only defense is hiding behind a clause that doesn’t even apply in this situation. You’ve shown no accountability. Just empty promises and poor execution. You lost my trust—and my money. But I will move on. It’s just $5,000 I lost by trusting the wrong company.

"Exploor’s True Colors – Unethical Treatment Behind the Scenes"

I can't speak to the quality of their tours, but I can speak to how they treat the people who work with them—poorly. I collaborated with them on marketing for a few weeks and was expected to work beyond the agreed hours with no recognition or respect. The worst part? They ghosted me completely, making me feel devalued and disposable. In my experience, they seem driven purely by profit, showing zero regard for the people behind the scenes. If ethical treatment of workers matters to you, I suggest looking elsewhere. Edit: After posting this review, they finally responded—not with concern or resolution, but by threatening legal action if I didn’t delete it. That says everything.

"A Trip That Started with Hope but Ended in Deep Disappointment"

My husband and I booked what we hoped would be a dream trip to Peru to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, but unfortunately, our experience with this company left us with mixed emotions. We arrived in Lima feeling anxious, as we had not received any communication or confirmation from the company—no welcome message, no contact group. That lack of coordination at the start was genuinely unsettling. Thankfully, our guide and driver were waiting at the airport, which brought some relief 🙏🏼. From there, things started to go more smoothly. We transferred to Cusco, where we had the pleasure of meeting Gris—the best tour guide we’ve ever had. She was a true highlight of our trip. However, things took a sharp turn on our final day in Cusco. We were scheduled to fly from Cusco to Lima, then on to Juliaca to continue our journey. But the flight they booked to Lima was suddenly canceled, and the company did absolutely nothing to help or assist us. They simply claimed they never received notice of the cancellation and refused to take any responsibility for rebooking or accommodating the changes. Instead, they repeatedly blamed LATAM and recited their procedures, while their tone became noticeably colder and even a bit rude. This wasn’t just any trip for us—it was a special anniversary trip. They knew this. And still, they refused to request a refund for the canceled flight, or for the accommodation and tour in Puno that were no longer possible. To make matters worse, although we had booked our flights together, they split our reservations. As a result, my flight to Juliaca was confirmed, but my husband was only on standby. LATAM couldn’t seat us together, and Exploor did nothing to resolve it. So on our anniversary trip, my husband had to fly alone back to Lima. My own flight, originally scheduled to depart at 12:35 PM, was delayed until after 2 PM. In the end, we stayed in Lima instead of going to Puno. Only after we insisted did they arrange an overnight stay in Miraflores and transfers to and from the airport. This company showed warmth and professionalism in the beginning—but in the moment we needed their support the most, their true colors showed. We expected better, especially for such a meaningful trip.

"Beautiful Destination, But Service Needs Improvement"

Traveling to Peru was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. While Exploor provided some services I genuinely appreciated, the overall value didn’t quite match the high price tag. There’s a noticeable imbalance between cost and quality, and definitely room for improvement. With some adjustments, they could offer a much more rewarding experience.

"Mediocre Service and Poor Value for Money"

The overall service was just average. There were minor delays in pickup and coordination, but our guide managed to sort things out within a reasonably acceptable timeframe. What truly bothered me, however, was the significant gap between the price and the quality of the experience. It felt like we were overpaying for something that didn’t live up to expectations.
