"Highly Recommended"

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a relaxing space to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Breakfasts were plentiful and offered more than we could manage, with a good variety to choose from. We also dined at the hotel on two occasions; the meals were beautifully presented and very tasty. The hotel’s location is excellent, providing easy access to the main tourist attractions and local facilities. Overall, a highly recommended choice for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area.

"One of the most wonderful places I have ever stayed in"

My family and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Angkor Wat, and we truly wish we had booked more time at this exceptional hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Verena at the front desk and Jacques, the general manager. Their hospitality made us feel instantly at home, something that is rare these days. The room we stayed in was nothing short of spectacular. The decor was extraordinary, reflecting incredible attention to detail and a unique style. Every element, from the exquisite touches around the room to the luxurious bedlinen, contributed to an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant, where both the Asian dishes and the pasta for our kids were superb. Breakfast is à la carte, offering both local and Western options prepared beautifully—my chicken rice with curry gravy was fantastic, and my son happily sampled almost every type of waffle and pancake available! The pool is immaculate and perfect for a refreshing swim or simply relaxing in the sun. This hotel delivered a flawless experience, and we are grateful for such a memorable stay.

"Fantastic luxury hotel, absolutely loved FCC"

FCC Angkor is a beautiful luxury hotel with friendly, highly efficient staff. The hotel’s atmosphere evokes the spirit of the early 1900s—the age of explorers, adventurers, and journalists eager to share their experiences of this exotic part of the world. Located just steps from the river on a tree-lined street, the hotel is in a safe area within walking distance of downtown and the Night Market. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, filled with meaningful details like an old radio, vintage phone, and a personalized welcome letter typed on an antique typewriter. The bathrooms are spacious, the beds incredibly comfortable, and housekeeping is efficient and thorough. Breakfast is superb, and the swimming pool is surrounded by lush greenery and impeccably maintained. What truly stands out is the staff—especially the front desk agents. During my wait for an airport transfer, Nich was attentive, gracious, and genuinely engaging, sharing stories about the hotel and life in Siem Reap. FCC Angkor is more than just a hotel—it is an unforgettable experience. I am forever grateful for the role it played in making this trip truly memorable.

"indulgence that’s easy on the conscience"

Beautifully designed and thoughtfully integrated into its environment, this hotel is a true celebration of nature. The architecture perfectly complements the surroundings, with nothing feeling out of place. Stone surfaces in the pool amidst lush greenery create a serene highlight, while the hospitable staff and eco-conscious approach make the stay even more enjoyable. A must-try experience for those whose budget allows.

"A bit of a disappointment"

The reviews we read set high expectations, and while the hotel has some positives, there were several aspects that held it back. The location is convenient, and we enjoyed the upstairs bar and dining room where we had breakfast. However, the overall atmosphere felt a bit stuffy and pretentious. Our check-in experience was frustrating, as the staff couldn’t initially find our reservation and questioned who had made the booking. It took at least 10 minutes to locate the paperwork, which was simply in their drawer. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and pillows, and we appreciated the stylish Erco furniture. However, design often trumped function—the shower taps weren’t labeled, and figuring out the water temperature was tricky. Tea and coffee in glass test tubes were unlabelled, though the staff provided regular supplies of tea bags and fresh milk when requested. Drinks in the hotel are expensive, with wine priced at $12 a glass. Breakfast was good in quality and range, but the 7am start is late for early tours; a cold breakfast box is available if needed, with coffee from a machine at reception. The hotel layout is confusing, making navigation to the pools difficult. There are two small pools, but the main one was murky and uninviting. Verdict: A nice hotel with stylish rooms, but service could be friendlier, and some functional aspects need improvement.

"Siem Reap Paradise"

FCC Angkor is a truly lavish and enchanting destination, blending quaint post-colonial charm with the warmth and kindness of Cambodian spirit. The staff, particularly our concierge Nich, always greeted us with a big smile, making us feel instantly welcome and providing invaluable help as we navigated Siem Reap for the first time. Every detail of the hotel is thoughtfully curated, from the exquisite breakfasts to the intimate, charming bar and the thoughtful touches in our room. Our stay was simply magical, and leaving was truly bittersweet. FCC Angkor is a little slice of paradise.

"Siem Reap Cambodia experience."

The hotel is clean, pretty, and well located, with an entire staff that is efficient and friendly. The menu is extensive, but vegetarian and vegan options are quite limited. Our room, while comfortable, was not very practical or user-friendly, particularly for seniors.

Housed in a restored colonial building, this hotel blends history with modern comfort. It offers a riverside location, pool, and chic bar-restaurant.
