"I recommend and would fly again with them"

That’s great to hear—sounds like a smooth and stress-free experience all around! Was this your first time flying with Swiss Airlines, or are you a repeat traveler with them?

"Enjoyable Experience with Finnair"

That sounds like a very pleasant experience! The A350 is known for its quiet cabin and modern design—did anything in particular stand out to you during the flight, like the food or crew service?

"Disappointed"

I'm beyond disappointed with Finnair. My flight from Tokyo to Helsinki was cancelled just before midnight—with only fifteen minutes’ notice before boarding was supposed to begin. The entire situation was handled so poorly that passengers, including myself, were left to fend for ourselves in a foreign city late at night, scrambling to find a hotel and arrange a taxi. While I understand that unexpected issues can arise, the complete lack of assistance was unacceptable. I submitted a claim upon returning home, and now more than two months later, it still hasn’t been processed. All I’ve received are two generic emails stating they’re overwhelmed and there’s a delay. That’s not good enough—especially when other airlines like American and Virgin have handled similar issues efficiently, processing compensation within a week. Do better, Finnair. Passengers deserve better communication, accountability, and timely resolutions.

"Extremely poor Staff performance and customer care"

Your frustration is completely valid, and it’s disappointing to hear how poorly handled your experience with Finnair was — especially when you booked through Qantas expecting a certain standard. Being placed on a codeshare flight with an airline that doesn't match the promised quality is frustrating enough, but when the aircraft is cramped, food substandard, and the cabin crew unhelpful or even disruptive, it understandably ruins the journey. The issue with the reclining seat, especially if it caused physical discomfort and the staff continued pressuring you, is completely inappropriate. Airlines should be trained to manage such situations calmly and fairly without putting the burden on the passenger. It’s unacceptable that you felt harassed instead of supported. You paid for quality and got far from it.

"Finnair business class"

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like a mixed journey—great new business class on the A350 and excellent staff, but let down by the older product and meal service issues. Consistency across aircraft and honoring special meal requests are definitely areas Swiss should improve on. Would you fly with them again despite these drawbacks?

"Two flight – both delayed"

It is my second flight with this airlines and second time it is delayed. You have to be at the airport at the original time though. Horrible. Get your stuff together.

"Midnight view (nearly) from my window"

That sounds like a lovely experience! Finnair is known for its efficient service, and catching a midnight sunset—especially if you're flying near the Arctic Circle—is a magical bonus. Was this during summer in Finland or northern Europe?

"Delayed flights"

Flight was delayed. I had to change my plans because of it. One of the worst airlines I ever tried. I hope I will not fly by finnair never again.

"Budget airline at premium price"

That’s a strong critique, and one that reflects what many long-time Finnair customers have noted—particularly the tension between cost-cutting measures and premium pricing. While their direct routes through Helsinki remain a strategic advantage, especially to Asia, it’s clear that diminishing onboard service and amenities can feel like a letdown when the ticket price doesn’t match the experience. Have you recently flown with an alternative airline that you felt offered better value for a similar route?

"Good Solid Product."

That’s great to hear about the comfort of the new non-reclining seat—those upright, fixed-shell designs can really surprise with how practical they are, especially for privacy and uninterrupted rest. And yes, service on Finnair can sometimes feel more reserved compared to the ultra-personalized style of Qatar or Emirates, but still efficient. Would you say the cabin design or layout added to the overall comfort?

"Very good airline"

It’s great to hear you’ve had consistently positive experiences with Finnair over time—it certainly says something about their reliability and safety. That higher price tag can be a sticking point, though, especially when other airlines may offer similar routes for less with comparable service. Have you noticed any specific improvements or changes in Finnair’s service recently that help justify the cost?

"Pleasant Riga flights"

Thanks for sharing such a detailed and honest account. It sounds like Finnair's Gold status perks really made a big difference—especially with lounge access and baggage handling, which can be huge stress-savers on busy, full flights. That said, the boarding experience and reduced priority do seem like steps backward for loyal frequent flyers, and it’s surprising they’d group so many in what’s labeled as “priority.” Do you feel the value of Finnair Gold status is still strong overall despite these recent changes?

"Confused How Finnair Classify Business Class"

That’s a very fair and balanced take. It’s clear you appreciated the punctuality and professionalism of the crew, but you’re absolutely right to question the value proposition of Finnair’s business class when it lacks core elements—like dedicated seating, entertainment, and an upgraded meal experience. If business class feels like economy with a few extras, it undermines the whole point of paying a premium. Do you think Finnair should rethink its short-haul business class offering, or simply reduce the pricing to match the experience?

"Customer service doesn’t exist"

Extremely poor customer service—it's practically nonexistent. I've been waiting for over two months for any response regarding my canceled flight case, and I still haven't received a single update or reply. This level of disregard for customers is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating.

"Wonderful"

That sounds like a truly comfortable and enjoyable flight experience! Lay-flat seating, good food, and thoughtful service can make a huge difference on long hauls—especially when you’re able to get real rest. And yes, Finnair’s signature blueberry juice is a surprisingly nice touch that many travelers rave about. Was this on one of Finnair’s A350 or A330 aircraft?

"Forced Bag Check Causes Two‑Hour Delay"

That experience sounds incredibly frustrating — especially being pressured to check your bags under the pretense of urgency, only to face a long wait both on the tarmac and at baggage claim. When airlines claim they need to expedite departure, passengers reasonably expect efficiency, not unnecessary delays. Forcing baggage check without a real operational need and offering no real time savings is not just inconvenient, it borders on deceptive and disrespectful customer service.
