"Amazing Riverside Dining with Great Food and Service"

This restaurant is perfectly situated along the water, with an entire wall of windows to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The food was very good—my husband tried the alpaca, which was a bit tough, while I had the chicken chaufa (fried rice), and it was excellent. The maíz starter was absolutely addictive and had me wishing I could take some home! Service was outstanding, and if we were staying in the area longer, we would definitely come back.

"Beautiful Location but a Terrible Dining Experience"

This restaurant may have a prime spot right by the river, but sadly, the location alone doesn’t make up for the poor food and service. After our Machu Picchu visit, we were hoping for a pleasant meal, but our experience was the opposite. One server misled us into ordering a dish that wasn’t remotely close to what we expected for lunch. I initially ordered something with potatoes, but he claimed the portion was small and suggested another dish—what arrived was simply cooked corn and cheese, completely bland and tasteless. When the manager came over, we thought she was going to make it right by letting us order something else. Instead, there was no replacement, and we were charged for both dishes. To make matters worse, the corn outside the restaurant sells for 5 soles, yet here they charged us 45 soles—a total ripoff. To top it off, the staff were shockingly rude, which was a stark contrast to the warmth and friendliness we’ve experienced everywhere else in Peru during our stay. Avoid this place—not just for the overpriced, disappointing food but also for the staff’s attitude.

"Fantastic Dinner with Exceptional Service"

Gary was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly attentive throughout our meal, ensuring we had everything we needed and answering all of our questions with a warm and friendly attitude. The food was absolutely delicious, but it was Gary’s outstanding service that truly elevated the experience. He went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. Highly recommend both the restaurant and asking for Gary as your waiter—thank you for making our night so special!

"Good Food and Service, but Too Loud"

The food here was actually quite good, and the service was excellent—friendly, fast, and English-speaking. However, during our meal, there was a very loud Peruvian duo playing music. While it added a fun vibe, the volume was so high that we all ended up with headaches. The prices felt a bit expensive compared to other Peruvian culinary experiences of the same quality during my stay, but not outrageously so. Overall, a decent experience with some room for improvement on the atmosphere.

"Delicious Food at a Better Value"

The food here was amazing—far better than what we experienced at the pricey hotels along the main food street. Great quality and flavors without the inflated cost. Highly recommend!

"Beautiful Views, Great Food, and Lively Atmosphere"

I dined here with a group of eight and we were seated by the large windows offering spectacular views. The restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere with the occasional hum of live performances. I ordered the Trout Causa along with a generous glass of Pisco Sour—both were tasty, refreshing, and beautifully presented.

"Disappointing Experience Despite the View"

A tour guide recommended this place, but it turned out to be the only restaurant in Peru that left me disappointed. The ceviche appetizer was the only highlight of our meal. My main dish was tough and lacked flavor—I couldn’t even eat it. Service was poor as well; the server took a long time to take our order, rarely checked on us, and we constantly had to call him over. While the restaurant boasts an amazing view, it simply isn’t enough to make the visit worthwhile.

"Great Culinary Experience with a Beautiful View"

Visiting from Florida, USA, we were drawn in from the sidewalk by the offer of two courtesy drinks—Pisco Sour or lemonade. Initially, there was a strange rule that both drinks had to be the same (either two lemonades or two Piscos), and we were about to leave, but our server Joseph saved the situation and turned it around. From that point on, we had a wonderful dining experience with a stunning view of the Urubamba River. We enjoyed the Abrazo Peruano with alpaca and the Causa Trilogy, paired with additional Pisco Sours and hierbabuena lemonade. The ambiance was lovely, and Joseph provided friendly, attentive service that made the experience memorable. Highly recommended!
