"Delectable"

I created this account specifically to leave a review for this restaurant. The food was outstanding—remarkably creative and thoughtfully prepared—and each dish reflected the chef’s deep pride in showcasing his heritage in an innovative and memorable way.

"Far from the first Gaggan . Very desappointing . To be avoided"

This visit felt more like attending a show than enjoying a true gastronomic experience. The atmosphere lacked refinement, with heavy speeches about the dishes and the chefs themselves, accompanied by excessively loud music played repeatedly. The cuisine seems driven more by a desire for originality than by fine taste. While some dishes were very good, others failed to impress, making the overall experience inconsistent and, frankly, disappointing compared to the first Gaggan. Adding to the frustration, the wine pairing is mandatory—a poor choice in itself. In this case, it was especially problematic, as the wine selection was largely terrible. Most of the wines were undrinkable, and originality alone does not justify the pairing. At the level of restaurant and the price charged for the dinner, this is completely unacceptable.

"Experience, not dinner"

This is not just dinner—it’s a full experience. Despite being a 25-course tasting menu, it never feels overly heavy, and while not every dish is conventionally “delicious,” each one is unique, creative, and thought-provoking. Throughout the meal, a presenter narrates the experience, and at times the servers and chefs come together to sing and dance, adding a theatrical and immersive element to the evening. It is, unsurprisingly, very expensive, and from a purely culinary standpoint it may not feel fully justified. However, as an overall experience, it is excellent and memorable. We opted for the wine pairing, which was the only letdown, as the selections were unfortunately underwhelming.

"Asia’s Best. No question."

This was one of the most unique and genuine dining experiences we’ve ever had. Chef Gaggan and his entire team made us feel completely at home from beginning to end. The food was bold, distinctive, and wonderfully innovative. Hats off to the entire team—thank you for crafting such an unforgettable experience.

"Excellent food and presentation…theatrics make it feel chaotic"

We had mixed feelings about our visit. There’s no denying that both the service and the food are exceptional—the team has clearly put immense thought into crafting a highly original menu, with a meaningful story behind every dish. The wine pairing was perfectly matched to each course, and we really enjoyed the communal dining style, with Gaggan and the staff actively engaging with guests throughout the meal. What felt overwhelming, however, was the constant music and clapping. At times, it came across more like a budget Arabian Nights–style show than a fine-dining experience, which wasn’t what we expected from a restaurant of this caliber. I understand that while Gaggan was preparing the final dish, the staff wanted to keep diners entertained, but the theatrics felt unnecessary and slightly forced. That said, Gaggan did mention at the start that the evening would be about “chaos”—and in that sense, it delivered exactly that. Overall, it was a lovely and memorable dining experience, though it could have been even better if it were less loud and more refined—though that ultimately comes down to personal preference. If you’re visiting Bangkok, this is still a place you should try to book. The price is also quite reasonable when compared to what you’d pay at Michelin-star restaurants elsewhere in the world.

"Only visit if…. Aka Definitely visit!"

If you’re expecting a conventional fine-dining experience with no character or soul, this isn’t the place for you. Likewise, if the price is a concern, think twice. For those ready to embrace it, Gaggan offers a truly magical dinner experience, where ingredients from around the world are transformed through delicate, unique, and highly skilled cooking. The team entertains with fascinating stories about the food, wine, and culinary techniques, and diners even find themselves singing classic songs together amid ever-changing lights and music. Leave your ego at the door and let yourself be captivated by the unforgettable magic of Gaggan.

"Very Theatrical"

What a theatrical and entertaining evening! We really enjoyed the vibe, with lively music and creative presentation of the dishes. The team clearly worked hard to connect with every diner, which made the experience feel personal and engaging. While the food wasn’t the absolute best we’ve had, it was still very good, and the overall experience more than made up for it. I especially appreciated that the entire staff thanked each guest individually—a thoughtful and memorable touch. Definitely worth trying at least once!

"Gaggan, extraordinary!!!"

For the first time, a meal left me utterly speechless! I tried to put my Gaggan experience into words, but nothing seemed enough—how do you describe something that transcends food? Was it the flavors? The music? The energy in the room? The team moving like a single heartbeat? Or was it the magician himself—the greatest showman the culinary world has ever seen? Those three hours were pure theatre: jaw-dropping, mind-bending, and heart-thumping. To truly experience Gaggan, you must go to Bangkok, where you can feel the warmth, madness, and passion his team pours into every moment. It’s rare to see a brigade so perfectly aligned with a chef’s vision. The wine pairings were exceptional, and Vladimir’s guidance through each pour added the perfect finishing touch to an already unforgettable experience. From “cooksicle” to “curry ok kay,” I feel blessed and privileged to have witnessed Gaggan perform right before my eyes. This is not just Indian, Japanese, or Thai cuisine—it is Gaggan. In a category entirely of its own.

"Reservation with lots to desire…but still amazing experience"

I’ve visited Gaggan several times over the years, and this was my first experience at the new location—during a period when restaurants everywhere are struggling. Unfortunately, the often-arrogant attitude in the reservation process hasn’t changed. Even though the restaurant wasn’t full on a weekend evening and my booking was only a few days in advance, the experience felt unnecessarily frustrating. The website booking system didn’t work properly, so I called the mobile number listed for reservations. The person who answered seemed clearly annoyed, and I felt I had to apologize just for calling. She repeatedly insisted that bookings could only be made online, even though the system wasn’t working, which left me giving up and making the reservation through another channel. I would suggest removing the phone number from the website to avoid confusing future guests. That said, dinner itself was absolutely amazing. Fifteen courses were perfectly portioned—not overwhelming—and the creativity and flavors were consistently impressive. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuine, which was a noticeable improvement from past visits and made a real positive difference. I also prefer the design of the new location—more stylish and modern than the previous one. The pricing is certainly at the high end, but it feels justified given the overall experience. If only the reservation process didn’t make customers feel like beggars, I’d visit more often and recommend it even more enthusiastically. Despite that, it remains a truly great dining experience.

"It’s a different experience"

The food was served in a varied sequence with a range of flavors, making for an overall enjoyable experience. We had the set lunch, and the waiters were attentive, explaining each dish and encouraging us to try more than just a bite. While the experience was very good, it is a bit on the pricey side.
