"Comfortable Bus Service Marred by AC Issues"

The fleet is large and well-maintained, and the punctuality and service from staff both at the counter and during the journey were very good. The stops along the six-hour trip were reasonable. However, our bus developed a serious air conditioning problem, making about two hours of the journey extremely uncomfortable and stressful.

"Terrible Night Bus Experience with Giant Ibis"

I was extremely disappointed with my first experience on Giant Ibis, despite the high ratings on travel websites. The night bus was appalling — I even saw cockroaches under my pillow, showing that it had clearly not been cleaned properly. The bunk was cramped, making it impossible to sit up comfortably, and the toilet was so small that I had to squeeze to use it. I will definitely not be using this company’s service again.

"Disappointed by Seat Configuration Change Despite Paying Extra"

I am very disappointed with my recent booking experience. I specifically selected a 3-seat configuration for the comfort of my elderly parents and paid extra to ensure a more comfortable ride. However, my booking was unexpectedly changed to a 4-seat configuration without any notice, completely defeating the purpose of choosing a more spacious option. While the service during the trip was good, I feel misled and unfairly charged for a seat arrangement I never received. I hope the company will address this issue and provide clearer communication about potential changes to seat configurations in the future.

"Horrifying Experience with Giant Ibis and Cambodian Border – Avoid at All Costs!"

I had an extremely frustrating and terrifying experience traveling with Giant Ibis from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City. I paid a premium for what I expected to be a safe and reliable service, but the reality was far from it. At the Bavet border crossing, Cambodian customs officers demanded a bribe to stamp my exit passport. When I refused, the officer confiscated my phone and formatted it without my consent, deleting all of my important personal data. Shockingly, the Giant Ibis staff witnessed the entire incident but offered no assistance whatsoever. Their inaction made me suspect possible collusion with the officers. This left me feeling vulnerable, helpless, and completely unsupported. Considering the high cost of the service, I expected protection, professionalism, and respect — none of which I received. I strongly advise travelers, especially international tourists, to avoid Giant Ibis and exercise extreme caution when crossing borders in Cambodia. There are safer alternatives out there — don’t make the same mistake I did.

"Good Staff, But Long Lunch Delay"

Overall, the service and attitude of the staff were very pleasant and professional. However, the lunch stop at the Prestige restaurant took significantly longer than expected, causing a delay of about 2 hours beyond the scheduled arrival time.

"Disappointing Bus Experience and Poor Lunch Stop"

The bus stopped for lunch at an expensive restaurant with no consideration for passengers, forcing everyone to eat there without any choice. Despite some positive reviews, the bus was fairly standard: no footrests, no folding tables, and no armrests between seats. On top of that, the driver was speeding and honking, which made the journey uncomfortable and stressful.

"Friendly Staff but Bus Comfort Needs Improvement"

The bus service from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap was punctual, and the staff were friendly and hospitable throughout the journey. However, the bus itself needs improvement. The aisle was very congested, making it difficult to move around, and there were no clear signs indicating bed or seat numbers, which made locating our assigned spots confusing. Additionally, the bed space was quite small, leaving little room to move or store hand-carry items. These are key areas that should be addressed to improve passenger comfort.

Giant Ibis Transport

Most trusted for tourists, offering modern and comfortable intercity buses.
