"History and America"

A historic and highly sought-after hotel, Hassler Roma sits right at the top of the Spanish Steps, a location that could easily deserve six stars. This 5-star property offers all the luxury and amenities expected at this level, and it’s not uncommon to spot celebrities and high-profile guests, particularly from the U.S. While the value for money may not be perfect, the experience and prestige of staying at the Hassler are unparalleled.

"Beautiful Palace, ideally located"

A few years ago, I visited this historic hotel and found a sumptuous palace, beautifully restored and perfectly located just steps from the Spanish Steps. Our small suite, priced at €1500 and not overlooking the square, was still very pleasant. We were welcomed with a lovely bouquet of roses, and upon returning in the evening, prosecco, fruits, and chocolates awaited us. The service—both in-room and at the concierge—was impeccable, and the staff was consistently smiling and dedicated. The 7th-floor terrace offers stunning sunset views, and the adjoining bar is both beautiful and comfortable. However, there were two notable disappointments. First, in-room breakfast at €40 was mediocre at best: acidic, flavorless fruits; pre-packaged juices; bland yogurts; and mass-produced jams and pastries—far below what one would expect at this price point. Second, despite claims of multilingual staff, almost everyone spoke only English and Italian, with the exception of one concierge who spoke French for two days. Overall, I rated this hotel four stars for the staff’s kindness, attentiveness, and the beauty of the property, while hoping management addresses the breakfast and website language claims.

"Luxury at its finest"

Hassler Roma is the most luxurious, noble, and perfect hotel in the world. Our stay was flawless from start to finish. The American Bar feels like a journey through time, and the service makes you feel like royalty. If you want to be treated like a prince or princess, this is the place—luxury at its finest.

"Pleasant"

This beautiful hotel sits at the top of the Spanish Steps, offering lovely rooms with views of the square. However, the stay was slightly marred by a lack of warmth from the staff, who felt distant and impersonal. The breakfast room was cold, the staff remote, and the breakfast itself was very average. A stunning location, but service and dining could use improvement.

"An institution"

Our stay at Hotel Hassler was simply impeccable. A true institution in Rome, it boasts a unique location with breathtaking views of Trinità dei Monti and a level of hospitality rarely found elsewhere. The rooms are meticulously cared for, elegant yet warm and welcoming. The staff is outstanding—always attentive, kind, and ready to fulfill every request with a smile. Breakfast on the terrace is an unforgettable experience, combining spectacular views with top-quality offerings. From every perspective, our stay was perfect: authentic, discreet, and refined luxury. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Rome at the highest level.

"Gold Standard… with a few exceptions…"

We stayed in a deluxe king room with more than ample space and a view overlooking the Spanish Steps. Being near the gym and spa was an added bonus. The hotel’s prestige is evident—meeting famous guests wasn’t surprising, and it’s easy to see why celebrities, like Tom Cruise, choose this location. There were very few drawbacks. The sightseeing tours booked through the hotel were overpriced and not worth it, and the concierge recommended a restaurant, Caffè Ciampini di Marco Ciampini, that we found disappointing. Otherwise, the stay was luxurious, comfortable, and memorable.

"A dream"

I visited this gem in the heart of Rome for a peaceful moment of relaxation, and it was a dream. I savored a wonderful glass of Franciacorta paired with exquisite pastries, all in a setting of impeccable taste and elegance, accompanied by soft, unobtrusive piano notes. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and highly professional, enhancing the luxurious and refined atmosphere. Highly recommended—even for a solo indulgence, as sometimes we all need a little treat just for ourselves!

"Indeed a Luxury Hotel"

For our wedding anniversary, we decided to splurge on the Hotel Hassler, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Upon learning it was our anniversary and that we had traveled a long way, the front desk immediately upgraded our room—no request necessary. Room service was impressively prompt, almost like having a personal butler. The room, while small by European standards, was luxurious, and the bathroom fully lived up to its reputation. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was a delightful spread, and our dinner at Imàgo was a memorable culinary experience—worthy of its own review!
