"This place needs some TLC"
I upgraded to an Executive Alameda View room on the 25th floor, but it was in poor condition and did not justify the price paid. The room was plagued by various strange noises throughout the day and night. The walls were extremely thin—loud TV sounds from the neighboring room and voices from the hallway were clearly audible, making it difficult to relax or sleep. Overall, the experience was disappointing given the premium rate for this room.
"Excellent walkable location"
This hotel offers a strong sense of security, with armed and vested guards at entrances and throughout the property, so you can feel safe during your stay. The indoor and outdoor pools are lovely, perfect for relaxing. While the rooms are clean and include a tub for unwinding, the coffee makers are substandard and there are no microwaves, meaning you’ll need to buy coffee either downstairs or off-site. TV options are limited to Spanish channels, but the lobby provides comfy seating where you can catch sports in English. The beds are of decent quality, making for a comfortable stay overall.
"Amazing 🤩"
I don’t even know where to start—this hotel is fantastic, but what truly makes it amazing are the employees! From the moment I arrived until check-out, the service was outstanding. My room did get a little warm during the day, but I wasn’t there much anyway. I highly recommend booking a room with access to the Executive Lounge—the drinks are excellent. Ulises and Luis were phenomenal, taking great care of me as a solo traveler, even when the lounge was busy during Happy Hour from 6:30–8:00 p.m. The hotel’s location in the Centro Histórico is beautiful, close to many museums, and very safe. They also provide transportation to nearly anywhere in the city. Breakfast in the Executive Lounge is delicious, and my housekeeper, Flor, always ensured my room was ready and stocked with water. The room was spacious, and the bed was truly a dream to sleep in. A highlight of my stay was doing an exercise class on the hotel’s helipad—what an incredible way to start the morning with the best city views! The pool, gym, and spa are all amazing. I felt safe walking around until late at night, though, of course, it’s always good to stay aware of your surroundings. Huge thanks to everyone at Hilton Reforma—you made my trip truly unforgettable!
"Comfortable stay"
We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent for exploring the area and getting around easily. While the rooms are somewhat dated, they were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Overall, we would gladly stay here again.
"Amazing hotel and unbeatable location"
This hotel is ideal for families visiting Mexico City. Its central location puts you close to many restaurants and attractions, yet it remains quiet and comfortable, making it easy to rest. The facilities are excellent, providing everything you need for a convenient and enjoyable stay.
"Good but not good enough"
This hotel is well-situated for first-time visitors, within walking distance to the historic center and close to a variety of mid-range dining options. However, the street where the hotel is located is frequently closed to traffic due to protests or other events, which can make getting around difficult. On our arrival from the airport, the taxi had to drop us a fair distance away, requiring us to walk with our luggage to reach the hotel. While the location is convenient for sightseeing, travelers should be aware of potential access challenges.
"Fantastic"
This hotel offers an excellent stay, as expected. Its location is perfect for exploring the historic center and taking leisurely walks around the area. The small spa is a nice touch, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is rich and varied, and they even provide a little breakfast box if you need to leave early in the morning. The rooms are large, comfortable, and stocked daily with bottled water. The only minor drawback is the lack of complimentary amenities in the rooms, which seems to be common in hotels of this category in Mexico. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
"Unbeatable location"
This hotel boasts an incredible location, right in the heart of the action. You’re just a short walk from the Palace of the Arts, Zócalo, Templo Mayor, the Cathedral, and countless amazing restaurants and taco spots. The hotel itself is home to one of Mexico’s most famous restaurants, El Cardenal. Security is excellent, and while check-in was busy, the process was efficient and pleasant. The rooms felt slightly dated and on the darker side, but everything functioned perfectly, from the shower to the AC and WiFi. Overall, a great value for such a central and convenient location.
"Amazing service."
This hotel is absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, Ian and the front desk team provided exceptional service. Edgar and Victor at the bar were outstanding, and Juan in the restaurant was always prompt and delightful. The young lady who made our omelets was fantastic—she remembered exactly how I liked it each time. Cesar at the front desk also deserves recognition; despite handling a line caused by a difficult guest, he managed everything professionally and apologized to everyone who had to wait. As a Front Office manager at a hotel in Houston, I truly appreciate excellent service, and this team delivered it in spades. We also loved the thoughtful quote left by our room attendant in Room 1219—it added a personal touch that made our stay even more special. Overall, an incredible experience, and I highly commend the staff for their dedication and professionalism.
"Friendly staff, good location"
The front desk team and breakfast staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Due to maintenance work involving the water system, the hotel needed to change one of our originally booked rooms, but they generously compensated us by including the breakfast buffet for our entire stay. Since there were four of us, this was a significant perk—especially considering the wide and excellent selection of breakfast options. Although we don’t believe we were placed in upgraded rooms, the accommodations were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel’s location is a major advantage, situated directly across from Alameda Park and within easy walking distance of the Zócalo and Mercado de Artesanías La Ciudadela. The only minor drawback is that dining in Roma or Condesa requires an Uber or public transportation. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would gladly stay here again.
