"Run away"
What a horror! Upon arrival, the front door was closed, and we had to call to get it opened. Check-in before 4:00 pm was impossible, which was very inconvenient. Our room faced a noisy pedestrian street, making it impossible to open the windows. The restaurant below, which does not even belong to the hotel, added to the noise. To top it all off, breakfast was served in the bar next door, where the staff were arrogant and unsympathetic. I really struggle to see how this could be called a 5-star experience.
"Beautiful hotel"
We absolutely loved this hotel! The rooms were lovely, clean, and offered a fantastic sea view. The location is great, and the rooftop pool was heated and wonderfully quiet—probably because it wasn’t peak season. A highlight for me was being able to enjoy the sea view while having a shower. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic stay!
"Brekkie in the hotels Barracuda bar"
Enjoyed breakfast by the old harbour and town beach in the sunshine—a really lovely spot! There was a good choice of options despite it being a popular location. I had the Serrano ham & cheese toastie and a full English breakfast, with fresh orange juice and a Spanish hot chocolate. The food was tasty, well-prepared, and reasonably priced. The only small downside—no baked beans—but overall a very pleasant experience.
"Coffee and cake and coffee and light breakfast"
Visited twice—first for coffee and cake, and the second time for coffee and breakfast. The cakes were excellent, especially the lemon cake. The scrambled eggs with cheese and guacamole, as well as the Greek yogurt with granola, were equally delicious. The café is clean and tidy, with helpful and friendly staff.
"All good…..but"
Overall, everything was fine, but I was disappointed with the rooms—they were very small with hardly any space to store belongings. On the plus side, the hotel is very clean and conveniently located close to a small beach and all the restaurants in the town centre. One downside: reception was almost always unattended, making check-in and queries a bit tricky.
"As pleasant as an actual Barracuda on a bad day."
After 12 years of visiting the island and supporting the locals through Covid, we noticed a marked shift in attitudes this year. Sadly, the adjoining cocktail bar stands out for the most arrogant and aggressive service. We approached a vacant table, only to be pounced on by a staff member who snapped, “table not free.” When I suggested a reserved sign might help, she shrugged and told us we could drink in the toilet if we wanted. If you enjoy being insulted and treated like a nuisance rather than a guest, this is your spot. Otherwise, avoid the Barraquda at all costs – they don’t care about you, only your money. A disappointing reflection of local behavior compared to other Canary Islands.
"Great stay in the heart of corralejo Bay loved it"
This place is absolutely fantastic! The view of the bay and harbour is brilliant—I spent most of the night sitting on the balcony enjoying it. The rooms are spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and everything you could need for a perfect stay is thoughtfully provided. The location is ideal—just a two-minute walk to our favourite bar and restaurant—and the price was very good. We’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommended.
"Lovely hotel"
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff and a great location. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. My only issue was the noise from the musician playing next to the restaurant downstairs each night—it was very loud. Earplugs helped, but on my last night I didn’t want to use them because of an early flight, which made it difficult to sleep. Such a shame, as the hotel itself is really nice.
