"Neighbours get up at 4:30am – and you know it!"
The hotel is a nice place to stay, but our experience was marred by early-morning noise from upstairs neighbors dragging or bumping furniture around—often starting as early as 4:30 am for several consecutive days. Tile floors made the noise carry even more. While the hotel itself is fine, I would only consider returning if assigned a room on an upper floor to avoid the disturbances.
"As Good as All the Reviews State"
My wife and I stayed here twice during our two-week trip to Mexico, and both visits were excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome each time. The location is fantastic, with numerous restaurants just a block or two away, and even more options across Blvd. Reforma. It’s within easy walking distance of the metro, yet feels like a peaceful oasis in the midst of a busy part of town.
"Unique place"
This unique hotel is made up of four historic homes combined into one property, giving it a distinctive character. Our first room faced a small side street, which turned out to be surprisingly noisy. The staff were accommodating, and we were moved to a quieter second room, though it was clear that the space could use significant updating. Despite these issues, the hotel’s charm and staff attentiveness made our stay enjoyable.
"Nice accommodations, but with limitations"
For our first trip to CDMX, we wanted a hotel with a distinctly Mexican feel rather than a typical U.S.-style property. This hotel, built around an enclosed courtyard, was clean, well-located, and had a pleasant atmosphere. However, there were a few limitations: the shower required about a minute of running water to warm up, there was no in-room option for making coffee or tea, and the restaurant opens at 7:30 am, which can be inconvenient for early appointments. While the front desk mentioned 24-hour coffee availability, the attendant on duty at 6:00 am was unable to operate the coffee maker. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in CDMX but would likely consider other accommodations on a future visit.
"Best place to stay"
This family-owned and operated hotel is one of Mexico City’s best-kept secrets. Located just a block from Reforma Boulevard, behind the U.S. Embassy and near the Zona Rosa, it offers both convenience and charm. Guests can enjoy authentic, homemade Mexican cuisine at excellent prices, and breakfast is particularly outstanding. The hotel combines a welcoming atmosphere with a fantastic location, making it a true gem in the city.
"Well located budget hotel"
This budget hotel is an excellent choice for short stays, spread across several adjoining villas not far from the Zona Rosa. Guests can enjoy communal breakfasts in a cozy downstairs room, making it a welcoming spot to start the day. The property offers a secure and friendly environment, providing a convenient base for exploring Mexico City.
"Recommended hotel"
We stayed three nights at this family-run, romantic hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms opening onto the patio were clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. Breakfast offered a wide selection, and the service was attentive. The neighborhood felt peaceful and safe, and there are several restaurants nearby to enjoy a pleasant evening out.
"value for money with spacious rooms and helpful staffs"
My room was spacious and clean, though it shows signs of wear and could benefit from some refurbishment. Overall, it was still comfortable and perfectly “stayable.” The bathroom, however, is quite compact—the bathtub takes up most of the space, leaving the toilet squeezed against the wall. The staff were polite and responsive, even helping me with late-night parking. Interaction was minimal beyond check-in and check-out. I didn’t have a chance to try the in-house café or restaurant, so I can’t comment on that. As for the location, it’s not close to major attractions, but rideshare options make it easy to get around the city, and the area feels reasonably safe. Overall, it offers good value for money.
Hotel Casa González
A charming boutique property in the Condesa/Roma area with stylish décor and an intimate vibe. Great choice for travelers who prefer design‑focused, smaller hotels.
