"Absolutely outstanding hotel and service"

We stayed at the hotel with another couple in April 2025 for five nights, and every aspect of our stay was amazing. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was delightful, and the overall atmosphere was wonderful. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the staff—especially those at the reception. Every single employee was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making our experience unforgettable. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip.

"A charming and luxurious hotel"

We had a very nice stay at this chic and modern Parisian hotel. The room was comfortable, the bedding excellent, and the service attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was a particular highlight—varied, delicious, and easily one of the best in Paris. The location is ideal: situated in a lively area yet tucked away on a quiet street, making it perfect for rest and relaxation. We look forward to returning soon!

"Comfortable hotel is well located"

The hotel is well located, and our room was large and comfortable, which we appreciated. However, the welcome and service did not meet the standards expected of a 5-star property. No information was provided about the hotel facilities or nearby attractions, restaurants, and sightseeing options. Minor issues included the heating, which required an extra heater, and hair left in the bathtub. While the location and room were positives, the lack of attentive service was disappointing.

"Paris lucky find Boutique Hotel"

This hotel was an absolute find. Located on a quiet street yet just a few blocks from everything, it offered both convenience and tranquility. The staff was incredibly helpful, assisting us with restaurant reservations, museum tickets, and even train bookings, making us feel truly welcomed. A wonderful bonus was getting into our room hours before the scheduled check-in—a real treat after international travel. The breakfast and lunch room provided the perfect setting to start the day, and overall, we loved everything about this hotel.

"Good"

Although the hotel is rated 5 stars, I would consider it more of a 4-star experience. The breakfast was standard, and having to ask for basic items rather than having them readily available made it less enjoyable. While the stay was comfortable, the service did not fully meet the expectations of a true 5-star hotel.

"Disappointing"

I wanted to like Hôtel de Nell, but it fell short in too many ways. My first room faced a noisy construction site, and after requesting a move, I was placed in a room facing a church—nice view, but the bells rang every 30 minutes from 7 am to 8 pm. There was no in-room guide for operating anything, and worst of all, no hot water. I took two cold showers and couldn’t get a clear explanation from staff. I couldn’t even use the Japanese-style bath—one of the reasons I booked—because of the lack of hot water and the cracked, rotting wood around it. The towels looked old and dingy, and while the bed was fine, it wasn’t worth the $600 I paid for one night. The staff were young and well-meaning but inexperienced. I didn’t even find the restaurant until the next morning. Breakfast was great, but that was the only highlight. The hotel aims for a sleek, upscale vibe with a Japanese touch but misses the mark on the basics. It felt more like a 3-star hotel. I checked out after one night and moved to another hotel that met my expectations—so glad I did.

"Tucked-away gem in a vibrant area."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel De Nell. This intimate hotel is tucked away on a quiet street in the bustling 9th arrondissement, offering the perfect balance of calm and convenience. The neighborhood itself is a highlight—you’re close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, and local spots where Parisians actually live, yet far enough from the main tourist crowds. On some nights, we even changed our dinner plans to explore a local eatery after strolling around the area. The hotel’s peaceful setting extends to the room, which was incredibly quiet. The bed was perfect, and the spa-like bathroom with heated floors, a walk-in shower, and a Japanese soaking tub added a luxurious touch. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful from start to finish, even assisting with reservations prior to our arrival. Breakfast was decent—while the selection could be slightly wider, the croissants were warm and delicious. We were curious about the restaurant for lunch and dinner, which was temporarily closed during our stay. Overall, Hotel De Nell offers a serene, stylish retreat in a vibrant Parisian neighborhood.

"Odd room but nice hotel"

We stayed at this hotel for just one night before our Saturday flight and, as Bonvoy members, felt our room options were limited. Our room was a bit narrow and oddly shaped, but it was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was very modern with a traditional US-style shower, excellent water pressure, and high-quality amenities. The bed was comfortable with soft sheets, the room was very quiet, and the location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to the metro and top Paris sites. We even walked to Sacré-Cœur that evening. Breakfast is available at the hotel, though we opted for a nearby patisserie for croissants before heading to the airport. Overall, a helpful, bustling, and well-situated spot for a brief stay.

"Excellent stay"

We had a beautiful stay at this charming hotel, ideally situated to explore Paris mostly on foot. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided a warm welcome and attentive service—our daughter even received a thoughtful surprise. The team was friendly and offered excellent advice throughout our visit. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, featuring a large dressing area and a luxurious bathroom with both a bathtub and a walk-in shower. The hotel is in a quiet area while still close to lively streets filled with restaurants, and the staff provided a helpful list of local dining options. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we would happily return if given the opportunity.

"Great location"

The hotel impressed us with its attentive and friendly staff. We loved the location—just a quick Uber or taxi ride to the train station and major attractions. While a bit pricey, the property is outstanding, offering excellent amenities and delicious food at the hotel restaurant. Major sites like the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre are conveniently just a $10 Uber away, making it a perfect base for exploring Paris.

Hôtel de NELL

A more modern, design‑forward hotel (in the 9th arrondissement) that offers stylish comfort and a slightly more approachable price point compared to the grand palaces.
