"Lack of cleaning"
The Marquis Reforma Hotel is in an excellent location, making it very convenient for exploring the city. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing — I found hairs in the bed and bathroom, experienced a bathroom leak, and the watering can was clogged. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out were simple and efficient.
"Classic and well located building"
This Zócalo Central Hotel is a very nice hotel. The building, though older, is well maintained and aesthetically pleasing, and the location is excellent. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms, while small, are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious, offering a rich variety of options. The only downside was the air conditioning, which is centrally controlled and ran very cold. Staff explained that because my room was on the top floor, the temperature couldn’t be adjusted, but they suggested booking a lower floor if sensitive to cold. Overall, everything else about the stay was excellent.
"He’s already urgent for a remodel."
I stayed at Marquis Reforma Hotel from June 30 for four nights. I mostly used the hotel to sleep, arriving early and leaving late. The location is excellent, but the hotel itself feels largely unchanged from 15–20 years ago, with the same furniture and an overall aged atmosphere. My room had a peculiar smell, the sink had no water, and the window wouldn’t close properly. Street noise made it difficult to sleep the first night. While the staff were helpful when I reported these issues, it seems like room checks before guest arrival are lacking. As a long-time customer, I feel some nostalgia, but the hotel is overdue for a full renovation. It may be time to explore other options for future stays.
"Great location ! Lively area, tons of things within walking distance"
The Zócalo Central Hotel is in an excellent location — everything is within walking distance, and the surrounding area feels safe. The lobby coffee shop serves authentic Starbucks coffee, and the seating area is very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable, and I would definitely return. My room was on the smaller side and lacked a window view, as I had booked the most basic option. The heater didn’t produce much hot air, which was a minor inconvenience for me. Overall, despite these small issues, I had a great stay. The unbeatable location and welcoming staff made the experience very positive.
"Classic old Mexico City hotel."
This Marquis Reforma Hotel is a classic, old-school Mexico City hotel that feels like stepping into another era. The room was comfortable, and the staff treated us exceptionally well, with English spoken throughout, which was very helpful. Special thanks to Christian for making our stay even more enjoyable!
"Decent hotel for the price."
We stayed at Zócalo Central Hotel for five nights and found it to be a decent hotel for the price. The location is excellent and very central, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were very friendly, with most speaking English, and the porter Leo stood out for his attentive service. Our room was adequate, though on the smaller side for travelers with luggage. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would consider returning.
"Experience Hotel Emporio"
I had a very pleasant stay at Marquis Reforma Hotel, a cozy property located on Paseo de la Reforma. The staff, both in the hotel and the restaurant, were extremely friendly and always ready to answer any questions or assist with requests. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers visiting Mexico City.
"Quiet and reliable stay"
The staff at Las Alcobas were incredibly friendly and attentive. Ramon Cobos, in particular, provided excellent service, and the rest of the team ensured our stay was comfortable, confident, and peaceful. Their warmth and professionalism made our time at the hotel truly enjoyable.
