"Overall, a pleasant stay."
We stayed for a couple of nights and overall enjoyed our visit. The room had everything we needed, though it lacked a kettle for tea—a small inconvenience for us Brits—and it faced a busy street, so we had to keep the window closed to reduce noise. The hotel offered a nice ambiance with pleasant seating areas. The staff we encountered were courteous and friendly, and the breakfast we had was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
"The best! Look no further"
This hotel exceeded all expectations. The location is amazing, the property was spotless, and the service was outstanding. For anyone planning a trip to Mexico City, I highly recommend staying here. A special shoutout to Ulises, who was incredibly helpful and made us feel completely at home. I’m already looking forward to returning in the future!
"Great Service by Magdiel"
Dear Fabiola Bracho, I would like to commend Magdiel in the breakfast room for providing five-star service. He was a shining example of the high standards guests expect when staying at a hotel—always greeting us with a warm smile, polite, and welcoming. Jair was also courteous and helpful. However, some of the other staff in the breakfast room were disappointing, often displaying surly attitudes that made the service frustrating at times. On the positive side, your colleagues Valeria, Annel, Regina, Ulysses, and Axel also stood out for their professionalism and friendliness. I would have rated the hotel five stars if it weren’t for the inconsistent performance of a few breakfast staff. Well done, Magdiel—you are a credit to Hotel Histórico Central and deserve recognition, perhaps even a promotion!
"Lovely Hotel with Perks and Quirks."
Pros: The hotel’s location is excellent, with easy access to restaurants, parks, and museums. The staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. A small café was available 24/7 for snacks and drinks, with alcohol available for a fee. Breakfast was à la carte with many choices. Cons: Breakfast service was somewhat chaotic, and we often had to request coffee, cutlery, or assistance with ordering. Our room (513) was near a rooftop bar that played music until 2 AM, which could be disruptive for light sleepers. Additionally, stairs near the room made noise when used at night, waking me around 2 AM most nights. Overall, a well-located hotel with great staff, but be mindful of potential noise if you are a light sleeper.
"Staff at this hotel was so attentive and gracious!"
A wonderful place to stay! Armando, Regina, and the entire staff were incredibly helpful and gracious, going above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. They even recommended one of the best restaurants I visited during my time in Mexico City. Breakfast was included and far exceeded what I’ve experienced at most hotels in the United States—delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. A truly memorable stay thanks to both the staff and the excellent amenities.
"Room 512"
Good morning, I want to say that Alexa the at the front desk made our trip extra special, she was very welcoming, went out of her to make us feel comfortable, got us things that we needed, very attentive from the second we walked in at 1am. Thank you Alexa. We appreciate you. Gracias Paul Rosas
"I wish every city Hotel that I stay in was like this one… Fabulous."
During a business trip to Mexico City, I stayed two nights at Hotel Histórico Central in the historic downtown area. The location is perfect for exploring on foot—safe and easy walks to the Zócalo, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and the House of Tiles. The hotel itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated, creating a homely and cozy atmosphere. I was particularly impressed that all snacks and drinks (except spirits) are included, making it easy to grab a coffee or sandwich anytime from Café Central. Breakfast was excellent as well. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a perfect ensuite bathroom and shower. The staff were all lovely, extremely helpful, and accommodating. Victor assisted with my bags and directions, while Elizabeth and Fabiola went above and beyond helping me find items to take back to the UK. In summary, I travel frequently and wish every city hotel I stayed in was as pleasant and well-run as Hotel Histórico Central. A truly outstanding experience.
"Our stay at Historico Central"
The Hotel Histórico Central was clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated that breakfast was included, offering a good variety of options. The servers were friendly and helpful, with a special thanks to Jair for being especially attentive. The reception staff were welcoming, and Andrea went above and beyond by providing valuable information and helping us book tours, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the Centro Histórico was extremely crowded due to the holidays, which made it challenging to fully enjoy that part of the city. Overall, a very positive experience thanks to the hotel and its attentive staff.
