"Parisian Hotel Perfection"

Fantastic hotel — I’ve stayed here several times over the years and it never fails to impress. The staff are truly wonderful, always going above and beyond to ensure every guest is completely satisfied. The location couldn’t be more perfect, offering both convenience and elegance. This is 5-star luxury at its absolute best, with impeccable service, beautiful surroundings, and attention to every detail. And yes — it quite possibly has the best club sandwich in Paris!

"Nice bar at the hotel"

We stopped by for an evening cocktail at the bar and were immediately impressed by the hotel’s beautiful Christmas decorations — truly magical and festive! The staff were attentive and eager to ensure guests were happy. However, for a hotel of this high standard, I felt the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the surroundings could have been better maintained. Still, it was a charming experience in a stunning setting.

"A Parisian wonder"

The Plaza Athénée Hotel remains an icon of true French hospitality and Parisian charm. Every room is elegantly designed with absolute comfort in mind — we stayed in three rooms, all of which were spacious, quiet, and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was excellent, both in quality and variety. La Galerie, the hotel’s bar-bistro, offers a refined yet relaxed dining experience with delicious food throughout the day. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the concierge team was perfect — able to arrange anything with ease. Prices reflect the hotel’s prestigious profile, and the experience is worth every cent for those seeking classic Parisian luxury.

"Exquisite luxury and great service"

Athene Plaza embodies sophistication and luxury like no other. From the immaculate rooms to the exceptional service, every aspect of my stay was flawless. The breathtaking views and meticulous attention to detail elevated the entire experience. If you’re seeking a truly extraordinary stay in Paris, Athene Plaza is the very definition of excellence.

"Summer trip"

The previous summer marked my first trip without my parents, and my Eurotrip with friends was truly unforgettable — especially our time in Paris. We were lucky to secure a booking at the Plaza Athénée about a month in advance, and although prices were higher due to Couture Fashion Week, the experience was worth it. The atmosphere was vibrant, and we even spotted several famous guests during our stay. Upon arrival, our expectations were exceeded. The staff were professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Our room, decorated in a classic French style, offered a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower right from the window — an unforgettable sight. The only drawback was the bathroom, which felt quite old and less comfortable compared to the rest of the suite. The hotel’s location was unbeatable — right in the heart of Paris, making sightseeing and exploring nearby shops and restaurants incredibly convenient. Housekeeping was efficient and thorough, cleaning twice a day. However, we found the hotel restaurants a bit outdated, with limited variety in traditional French dishes. Additionally, the lack of spa and gym facilities was a disappointment for those seeking a more relaxing or wellness-oriented stay. Despite these minor shortcomings, our days were filled with sightseeing, delicious meals, and soaking in the city’s incredible energy. Paris truly is one of the most beautiful and dynamic cities in the world — every street and corner exudes charm. Verdict: I would recommend the Plaza Athénée for those seeking a luxurious Parisian stay, but keep in mind: Book well in advance (2–3 months) if visiting during major events like Fashion Week. Expect premium rates during peak seasons. Don’t expect ultra-modern spa or gym facilities — but do expect timeless Parisian elegance.

"Delicious brunch in a pleasant setting"

Magnificent setting for brunch — from the fresh pastries to the starters and main courses, everything was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was made even more enjoyable by the live music, featuring the suave voice of a talented young singer. Service was impeccable throughout. However, there were a couple of downsides: our table was placed near the entrance, causing a draft from constant comings and goings, and the hot chocolate was disappointingly thick — despite two attempts, it wouldn’t pour properly. A shame, as a perfectly made hot chocolate should be a simple pleasure, especially in a palace where brunch is €180 per person.

"GRANDIOSE EXPERIENCE"

Our one-night stay at this beautiful establishment with my daughter Valentine was nothing short of magical. We stayed in an Art Deco suite with an incredibly refined style — elegant, serene, and full of Parisian charm. The bedding and linens were simply IN-CROYA-BLES — soft, luxurious, and of the highest quality. The marble bathroom was both stunning and immaculately kept, with towels that were plush and delicately perfumed. From the very start, the welcoming was warm and heartfelt, setting the tone for an exceptional stay. A special mention goes to Pierre, who took the time to settle us in and surprised us with thoughtful touches that made our visit even more special. The housekeeping team also deserves praise for their impeccable and discreet service — the kind of excellence that often goes unnoticed but makes all the difference. This was an enchanted break in every sense, and one we can’t wait to repeat without moderation.

"Overall very good if you find the right staff :)"

I didn’t stay at the hotel — my review concerns only the tea time, which I’ve visited several times over different periods. The experience really depends on the day. Once, an unpleasant staff member insisted I order the most expensive maxi platter instead of a single pastry à la carte — quite disappointing, as I simply wasn’t hungry for more. However, on other occasions, the service was wonderful and we could freely order what we wanted, from the grand tea set to just one dessert. Most pastries were delicious, though the red fruit with crème fraîche and the apple dessert were less interesting. My daughter, on the other hand, loved everything and nearly finished her entire tray (except the rum baba — understandably!). That day, a lovely staff member welcomed us warmly, even without a reservation, and kindly let us move to a better table once one became available. Overall, there’s plenty of food, making it hard to finish everything. Despite some inconsistent service, my daughter has very fond memories of our visits — and that’s what matters most. This tea time easily rivals that of Cheval Blanc, though it all comes down to personal taste.

"To discover absolutely"

Frankly, one of the most pleasant palace hotels I’ve stayed in. The service was exceptional — attentive without being intrusive — and both the reception and concierge were extremely professional and welcoming. The location couldn’t be better, placing us right in the heart of everything. In short, a truly top-tier stay from start to finish.

"Almost flawless."

This hotel is simply beautiful, and its location is hard to beat. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a triple upgrade to a stunning suite. Everything was perfect — from the friendly and professional front desk staff to the sumptuous breakfast and the impeccable cleanliness throughout the property. Room service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The views from the room were absolutely magical and made the stay even more memorable. The only small downside was the noise from the rooms above, as the soundproofing could be improved. Nevertheless, everything else was outstanding. I will definitely return on my next visit to Paris.
