"Bad experience"

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. On Saturday morning, just before an important work meeting, there was no water in the hotel for several hours, and no warning was given. Staff claimed it was a general area outage, but after checking with Barcelona Waters, I confirmed there were no reported incidents in that street or area. As a result, I had to attend my meeting unprepared. The following morning, while showering, the water was cut again—this time shorter, but still without explanation or acknowledgment of any local issue. For a rate of €150 per night, such a basic service should be guaranteed, and at the very least, an apology should have been offered. My room was on the 4th floor, and I suspect the hotel does not have adequate water pressure. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I cannot recommend staying here.

"Prime location. Fantastic stay. friendly staff."

This hotel was in a fantastic location, right on La Rambla and within walking distance of so many attractions that tourists would want to see. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had a well-kept bathroom. The staff were warm and welcoming, and I genuinely enjoyed interacting with them. The hotel itself has historic charm and is set in a beautiful building. There’s also a lovely terrace on the first floor, plus thoughtful touches like a water refill station, a coffee machine, and croissants available for breakfast. Overall, our stay was excellent, and I would happily return.

"Nice stay we are in the middle. Like beautiful city. And views close to stores. Bus stop train. So close to everything"

We originally booked another hotel, but since they didn’t have space for three people, we moved to this one—and we absolutely loved it. The location is right in the middle of the city, making it very convenient for exploring Barcelona. The hotel is clean, with beautiful architecture that adds to its charm. In the mornings, they offer coffee and fresh bread, which was such a nice touch. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I truly loved staying here.

"Beautiful but impractical design"

The hotel is set in a beautiful building and enjoys an excellent location. Unfortunately, it struggles with the basics. The rooms are dark, and the bathroom ventilation fan is extremely noisy—so much so that it’s difficult to hear the television. There are no chairs or full-length wardrobes, and the air-conditioning doesn’t fully control the room temperature. Overall, the rooms feel a bit worn. The staff are friendly and well-meaning but clearly understaffed; with only one person on duty at a time, small tasks like fixing the coffee machine can take a while. There is a communal pantry on the first floor with tea, coffee, and a water dispenser. Laundry is available at €17 per bag.

"Cool building but not super convenient"

This hotel is set in a cool building with a good location, conveniently close to a taxi stand with frequent taxis, though it’s a bit of a walk to the nearest metro. The rooms were quite large by European standards, which was a pleasant surprise. However, there were some inconveniences—computer issues left the room keys not working one day and delayed check-in on another. On the positive side, the internet worked flawlessly. While there’s no full breakfast, complimentary coffee and croissants are available, and there are plenty of breakfast spots nearby. I also had some difficulty borrowing an iron. Overall, the stay was fine, with decent staff, but there’s room for improvement.

"Beautiful building in a central location, but poor cleaning was a shame"

This hotel is set in a beautiful, stately building right in the heart of the city. While they don’t serve a full breakfast, you can enjoy coffee and croissants on the ground floor. We stayed in winter, but the terrace at the back of the building looks lovely for sunny days. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and small balconies, though they feel a bit “lived in.” Cleaning could be improved—while the bed linen and towels were clean, we noticed hair in the shower and dirty wall tiles and bathroom floors upon arrival.

"Very good accommodation"

Upon arrival, we were given our rooms, and one faced the street with a lot of noise, including the bathroom fan. We requested a change, which was promptly granted. The new room was very spacious, with a giant bathroom (with air conditioning) and a comfortable bed with excellent pillows. On the first floor, there are complimentary coffee and water machines, as well as croissants in the morning. The location is perfect—a 10/10—close to everything Barcelona has to offer. There was a brief scheduled water cut during our stay, and the water pressure was not very strong, but overall, it’s a small, charming hotel that I would recommend.

"Good location but poor room maintenance"

Pros: The hotel has a fantastic location, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The coffee area is a nice touch, and our room had enough space for our family. Cons: The air-conditioning didn’t work properly in either unit. The staff tried to help, but nothing could be fixed, and since the hotel was fully booked, no alternative room was available. Early morning construction noise was very unpleasant and disrupted our stay.

"Disappointing – be careful"

I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Traveling for work, I was given a double room with no desk, no chair, and nowhere suitable to work. The small window only looked out onto a back corridor with a gloomy view of air-conditioning units. I asked to change rooms but was told nothing was available. Breakfast was very basic—just croissants, juice, and coffee from a small pantry lounge. The TV didn’t work properly, and even if it had, it was a tiny screen awkwardly attached to the back of a cabinet. While the building does have a historic charm, the overall experience was poor, with low-quality rooms that felt far from worth the price. If you’re considering staying here, I’d advise caution—there are much better options nearby, including the hotel just across the street. I won’t be returning.

"Great hotel- a lovely room in a great location"

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel! The location couldn’t be better—La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter, Casa Batlló, and Casa Milà are all within walking distance, yet the hotel feels tucked away from the busiest crowds of tourists. Plaça de Catalunya is just a block away, making transportation incredibly convenient, and there are endless restaurant options in every direction. Even the Sagrada Família is only about a 30-minute walk. The hotel has a charming boutique vibe, and the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I really enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor lounge areas, though having a balcony with our spacious Deluxe Double room meant we spent most of our downtime there. The room was filled with natural light, the bed was very comfortable, and the balcony doors did an excellent job of keeping out street noise when closed. Small touches like 24/7 complimentary coffee, tea, filtered water, and morning croissants added to the overall experience. Paying a little extra for the Deluxe Double was absolutely worth it, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

"Nice central hotel"

This hotel is perfectly located on La Rambla. The rooms are basic but clean and well-maintained. Ours faced the interior, making it very quiet, and we received a discreet, welcoming check-in. The hotel provides two complimentary bottles of water and a simple breakfast, including a hot drink and two types of croissants (plain and cocoa). A real highlight, especially outside the cold season, is the terrace where guests can enjoy breakfast outdoors.

"Disappointing"

Overall, we were underwhelmed by this hotel. The location is excellent, with plenty of great restaurants right on your doorstep. While we didn’t expect a huge room in a big city, our room essentially had no window, which should have been made clear in the listing. Construction noise was another downside. Although reception posts the scheduled times, work started earlier than expected, and the sound echoed throughout the building, making for an unpleasant start to the morning. On the positive side, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The common area is peaceful, and the fresh bakery items were delicious when available. Despite being happy with the location, we would not choose to stay here again.
