Where do I begin? This boutique hotel is absolutely lovely. The grounds and architecture are breathtaking, and the rooms are decorated with thoughtful attention to detail. Breakfast is delicious—don’t miss the verde juice! Located in upscale Polanco, just off the main street for luxury shopping, it’s surrounded by parks and excellent restaurants. The staff are warm, personable, and make you feel safe and valued. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pug Seal Allan Poe. My second-floor room with a small balcony overlooking the garden provided the perfect respite after a day exploring CDMX. The decor was beautiful, blending romantic and contemporary styles. The sheets were soft, the bed comfortable, and breakfast—especially the chilaquiles and double espressos—was a treat each morning. Paula and Karen at the front desk were cheerful, helpful, and offered excellent dinner recommendations in Polanquito. It was a truly wonderful stay.

Check-in was easy, and the bed was comfortable, although our room was quite small. The hotel has a charming boutique feel reminiscent of European or New York City properties, with a lovely Mexican touch in its design. The location is excellent, breakfast was very good, and the staff were consistently helpful, offering great recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities.

This was our second visit to Pug Seal Allan Poe, and the experience was outstanding. The service is truly exceptional—they can arrange drivers for pickups or tours, and the staff are responsive, kind, and full of helpful suggestions. The rooms, located in a converted mansion, are clean, comfortable, and adorned with fascinating artwork, with daily housekeeping. The property is in a quiet Polanco neighborhood, close to many excellent restaurants. Breakfast is delicious, varied, and generously portioned. Even when we had to change our travel plans at the last minute, the hotel provided a credit that we used later. We absolutely love CDMX and Pug Seal Allan Poe—a beautiful property and a remarkable experience.
"Quirky and wonderful"
This was my second stay in as many years in Mexico City. The hotel is intimate, charming, and quirky, offering excellent value in an incredibly convenient location. During our visit, however, Art Week brought some disruptions—an art event in the hotel led to noise and even an accidental intrusion into our room, making it more suited for celebration than rest. Despite this, the breakfast staff were attentive and eager to please, and the front desk team was always helpful with directions and assistance. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for its price point, character, and location, keeping in mind occasional event-related noise.

"Cute hotel and good value"
This property is wonderfully located off the main street in Polanco and features a beautiful historic house, though our room was in an attached outbuilding. The bed was comfortable with high-quality linens, and the bathroom had a nice shower. Breakfast was excellent, offering both hot and cold options, and the front hall table with drinks and snacks was a thoughtful extra. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and we would happily return.
