"Great hotel!"
A great hotel with a lovely, clean room and an excellent location, just a short walk from most of the city’s main attractions. Luca at reception was always polite, attentive, and very helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Only four days… a real hit-and-run! Yet they were incredibly dynamic and productive days. Hotel Traiano proved to be an excellent 4-star choice in a wonderfully convenient area—perfect for reaching Rome’s most iconic sites: Piazza di Spagna, Trinità dei Monti, Piazza Colonna, Palazzo Venezia, Piazza Repubblica, and even the city’s most important churches, from Vatican City to San Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis is buried. In just four days of walking, we explored not only the heart of Rome but also charming areas like Trastevere. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys discovering Rome on foot. Its location, cleanliness, and the warm welcome from the front desk staff make it an ideal choice for any traveler.
"Good location but not a 4 star"
Great location and very good breakfast. The bedding was comfortable, but the soundproofing was catastrophic for a 4-star hotel. The bathroom also needs to be reviewed and improved.
"Well placed hotel"
The hotel is very well located for exploring everything Rome has to offer. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. The only downside is that the hotel doesn’t have its own bar, and there is some traffic noise. Other than that, it’s a solid choice for convenience and comfort in the city.

Hotel Traiano offers one of the best locations in Rome, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The hotel staff is amazing — friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. For such a prime area, it’s also very affordable. We will surely come back!

Overall, my fiancé and I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff were friendly, helpful, and we had absolutely no issues throughout our trip. Getting to the hotel from the airport was very smooth — a direct train and a short walk. We stayed in a standard room, which was on the smaller side but perfectly fine for us. It had everything we needed: a kettle, good air-conditioning, and a comfortable bed. Our room was freshened up daily, and thanks to the solid, well-built walls, we didn’t hear any noise from other guests. We slept really well. The building itself is beautiful, and the location is perfect for exploring the city on foot. Breakfast was good and kept us full: plenty of pastries, fruit, yogurt, meats, breads, and cheeses. For hot options, there were sausages, bacon, and eggs. A few more cooked choices would’ve been nice, but we still enjoyed it. If we return to Rome, we would happily stay here again — and we’ll definitely be recommending it. Very happy guests!
"A Fantastic Hotel in a superb location"
Such a great location — a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff throughout. The front-of-house team were so welcoming and truly made us feel special. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choices and an attentive staff ensuring everything ran smoothly. The location couldn’t have been better for us; the major sights of Rome were right on our doorstep and easily walkable. There are also lots of great restaurants within a 10–15 minute walk. A fantastic stay overall!
"Centralt"
Good hotel overall and very consistent with the description. It’s centrally located and close to many major attractions, which made it easy to explore the city. Breakfast was good — eggs, scrambled eggs with bacon, and a very good coffee machine. The only downside is the traffic noise from outside, which is quite noticeable. It’s difficult to keep the window open because of it, but thankfully the air-conditioning works well. A solid stay for convenience and comfort.
"Perfect hotel in the centre of Rome"
An exceptional hotel right in the historic center of Rome, offering very good value considering the location and quality. The location is perfect, and our Superior Double Room was spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed, safe, minibar, desk, Wi-Fi, plenty of outlets, and ample closet and luggage space for two people. The bathroom was large with a powerful shower, and the breakfast was excellent. Service throughout the hotel was outstanding. The only minor drawback is the small elevator, which can get congested in the mornings.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Rome. The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised with a small birthday treat — such a thoughtful touch! The hotel is close to many of the main attractions, and just a few minutes’ walk from the nearest subway stations. There are also plenty of bus and tram lines nearby, which makes getting around very easy. A great stay overall!
