"Fun and Well-Organized Inca Jungle Tour"
We booked the 4-day, 3-night Inca Jungle tour to Machu Picchu in May 2024, and it was a well-organized adventure. Our guide, Wilbert, was experienced, friendly, and made the tour a lot of fun. The hotels along the way exceeded our expectations, though the showers were cold. The meals for non-vegetarians were good, but vegetarian options lacked protein sources like beans or lentils—bring protein supplements if you follow a vegetarian diet. Overall, a memorable and enjoyable experience!
"Well-Organized Inka Trail but Guide Lacked Engagement"
My partner and I completed the classic 4-Day Inka Trail with Inkayni Tours in November 2024. The tour was very well organized—the porters were extremely helpful, the tents were spacious and comfortable, and the chef prepared amazing meals every day. Our guide, Anthony, clearly had a deep knowledge of the Inka civilization and was passionate about it. However, we felt he lacked a customer-focused approach, which would have made the experience even more enjoyable. He didn’t seem to engage much with the group or prioritize creating a positive experience for us. He also pushed the group too strongly to finish the trail a day early or spend the last night in Aguas Calientes for additional costs. Conflicting information from him regarding tipping created confusion and an awkward situation on the last evening. Overall, while the logistics and support were excellent, we wished for more positivity and customer care from our guide.
"Incredible Inka Trail Experience with Inkayni Tours"
Inkayni Tours is amazing! From the very first communication to the final drop-off, everything was 10/10. They are ethical, treat their staff well, and deliver an unforgettable experience. The people, food, and sights were all incredible. Edwin was a fantastic guide—hilarious, capable, encouraging, and full of historical knowledge. Sabino prepared the most incredible meals, and the Andes mountains themselves were breathtaking. If you want a trek that challenges you, keeps you safe, and teaches you about the region’s history and culture, I highly recommend Inkayni Tours.
"Good Guide and Driver, but Tour on the Expensive Side"
Our guide, Ernesto, was knowledgeable and helpful, and the driver for the first two days of our 3-day tour to the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain did a good job. One thing to note: we had to pay 90 soles for a horse rental for our guide at Rainbow Mountain. While the tour was well-organized, it felt quite expensive, and it’s likely that more affordable options are available elsewhere.
