"A Little Gem by the Sea."

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights and overall, I’m happy with my choice. The location is fantastic, right by the beach, so waking up to the sound of the sea was a real treat. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and everything worked as expected. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. Breakfast had a good variety, so you won’t get bored. There’s also a spa and a pool, which are nice extras for relaxing days. If I had to mention a downside, some areas of the hotel feel a bit worn and the furniture could use updating. The shower was also a little small, but overall it didn’t affect my stay. For a solid beach hotel with good service and comfort, this one is definitely worth considering.

"Good, but not as exceptional as reviews make you expect"

Overall, this is a very good hotel with exceptionally friendly staff and a high-quality spa. However, given its positioning at the top end of Siem Reap’s price range, there were a few disappointments. The food was mediocre compared to the standard expected at this level. Room sizes are adequate—junior suites aren’t particularly spacious—and soundproofing between rooms is poor. The air conditioning is noisy and blows directly onto the bed, which could be better designed. While some online reviews may feel slightly exaggerated, the complimentary minibar and tuk-tuk rides are nice touches, though they don’t fully offset the limitations of the rooms and dining. Daily spa treatments and laundry are convenient, but included in the overall room rate. In summary, the hotel is highly recommended for its friendly staff and spa, but temper expectations regarding food and room comfort. Dining outside in town is strongly suggested, as there are many excellent local options.

"Amazing place"

Fantastic stay! The hotel’s beautiful decor and lush greenery make it feel like a peaceful oasis in the heart of Siem Reap. The staff were wonderfully helpful and welcoming, making the experience even more memorable. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at!

"3 nights at Jaya House"

The staff and service at this hotel were fantastic—nothing was too much trouble, from providing insect repellent for outings to ensuring our comfort throughout the stay. After a long day, we were warmly welcomed with a sandwich and a drink. Breakfast was excellent, and our room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed and pillows were both superb, making for a truly relaxing stay.

"Absolutely Wonderful Experience All Around!!"

My husband and I stayed at Jaya House for two nights, and we truly wished we could have stayed longer! The staff were incredible—special thanks to Christian, Ra, Jimmy, David, and Finn—for their warmth and attentiveness. The food, both in the restaurant and via room service, was excellent. Our room was perfect, featuring a minibar, a lovely coffee and tea setup, a plunge pool ideal after temple excursions, and a comfortable sitting area to relax before dinner or a spa session, which the hotel easily arranged at our preferred time. One of the most remarkable aspects of Jaya House is its dedication to sustainability. From the stainless steel water bottles provided on the airport shuttle (refilled throughout our temple tours) to the eco-friendly toiletries, every detail reflects the hotel’s thoughtful commitment to the environment. Our tour guide, Lee, made the temple visits unforgettable, sharing rich insights into Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm. The tuk-tuk rides between sites were wonderfully relaxing, with refreshing water, cold towels, and a gentle breeze to escape the heat. We’re already planning to bring our families back and will definitely be staying at Jaya House again!

"Comfortable serene hotel"

We arrived late one evening and were warmly greeted by Christian with complimentary drinks and sandwiches—a very thoughtful touch. The hotel, mostly open-air, features a beautifully decorated air-conditioned breakfast room. Christian shared the hotel’s history and insights on the local area, making our arrival both welcoming and informative. Each arrival or return is met with cold towels, and departures include mosquito spray, adding to the attentive service. The property has two pool areas: a large main pool and a secluded pool surrounded by lush foliage. The rooms are a charming mix of old-style modern décor with plenty of warm wood. Our room was spacious with a large vanity, big shower (no door, but stayed warm), desk, and couch. The air conditioning worked well, and WiFi was reliable. Overall, the hotel felt peaceful and inviting. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Recommended if in Siem Reap"

An amazing experience—this hotel feels less like a typical hotel and more like a welcoming retreat. The staff are polite and friendly, and Christian, the showrunner, was especially engaging and helpful, offering great recommendations for nearby dining. I really appreciated how Khmer lifestyle, temperament, and culture are seamlessly infused throughout the property. Breakfast options were just right. The only minor downside was one of the supervisors managing the breakfast tables, who seemed a bit cold compared to the rest of the staff—but I chose to overlook it so it wouldn’t affect my overall enjoyment.

Jaya House River Par

A chic boutique hotel along the Siem Reap River which has won multiple awards; its serene riverside setting, refined décor, and top-notch service make it a favorite among travelers. It tends to feel more private and relaxed than the busier hotels nearer Pub Street.
