"Great time in this place"
My wife and I spent two nights here, and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay truly memorable. We will definitely be coming back to this place—thank you for such a wonderful experience!
"Luxury and Serenity in Jaya House"
After a long haul from Europe and the fast pace of Hanoi, Jaya House is a true haven of serenity. Far removed from corporate chains, it offers a thoughtful, personal touch from the moment you arrive. Understanding that flights from Ho Chi Minh often run late, the team greets you with sandwiches and a drink of your choice. Homemade teas for every taste, cookies, and a quirky turn-down service featuring a jar of homemade popcorn make you feel immediately at home. Jaya House truly feels like a home away from home, with thoughtful amenities such as a tuk-tuk shuttle to town, free laundry service, a well-stocked minibar, fresh lotus flowers each day, and an amazing complimentary massage. The hotel is also eco-friendly, prioritizing the environment and local community, which adds a feel-good factor without compromising on luxury. What elevates Jaya House to a five-star experience is the genuine kindness and care of the staff, who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome at every moment. I only wish I could have stayed longer!
"Good Hotel"
We stayed at this hotel with high expectations, as it is advertised as the “best hotel in the world,” where every wish is anticipated. The rooms are minimalist yet tastefully decorated, though the towels and bathrobes were noticeably worn and could use replacement. A highlight was the minibar, included in the price. Breakfast offered both buffet and à la carte options; everything we ordered tasted good but was not extraordinary. The same applies to lunch and dinner. The restaurant staff were very nice and attentive, and the free tuk-tuk service was excellent, with friendly drivers and minimal waiting time. The complimentary laundry service was perfect after two weeks of travel, and the daily one-hour massage was adequate. However, what stood out negatively was the occasionally inauthentic and overly formal behavior of some staff, which created uncomfortable moments. There was also a lack of personal touches, such as addressing guests by name, which is common in other hotels of this caliber. While we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the amenities, for us, it did not live up to the “best hotel in the world” claim.
"An EXTRAORDINARY Hotel – An Absolute Must-Stay!"
This may be the best hotel experience we’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, the owner personally greeted us at check-in and introduced us to the hotel. Despite arriving late, he thoughtfully arranged sandwiches and glasses of wine for us. Mr. Christian explained all the incredible perks we would enjoy: unlimited laundry services, daily visits to their beautiful spa, complimentary tuk-tuk rides to the city with a dedicated hotel phone to call for pick-up, and coffee and croissants at 4:30 a.m. before our sunrise tour of Angkor Wat—all in addition to daily breakfast and other amenities you’d expect at a first-rate international hotel. The staff were warm, engaging, and professional, interacting with one another like a close-knit family. Mr. Chris, the hotel manager, ensured that every need was met quickly and efficiently. Every detail, from thoughtful gestures to attentive service, made our stay unforgettable. Do yourself a favor—book a stay here!
"Good, but not as exceptional as reviews make you expect"
Overall, this is a very good hotel with extremely friendly staff and an excellent spa. However, given its position at the top end of the price range in Siem Reap, there were a few disappointments. The food was mediocre compared to the high standards the hotel aims for. Room sizes are adequate but not generous—for example, the Junior Suite does not offer excessive space. Soundproofing from rooms above is poor, and the air conditioning is noisy and blows directly onto you, which could be better managed in many top hotels. While the complimentary minibar, tuk-tuk rides, daily one-hour spa, and laundry service are nice touches, they do not fully compensate for the limitations in rooms and food. The spa is very good, and the staff’s friendliness is exceptional, even if English understanding can occasionally be limited. In summary, I can recommend this hotel, but it may not live up to claims of being one of the world’s best. For dining, it’s worth exploring some of the excellent options outside the hotel in town.
"Awesome"
This wonderfully appointed boutique hotel pampers its guests in every way. The rooms are clean, spacious, and offer lovely views of the two refreshing pools. Breakfast, whether buffet or à la carte, is extensive and delicious. The staff are exceptionally kind and responsive, a testament to the excellent training provided by Chris and Christian. Every employee is considerate, helpful, and attentive to guests’ needs. The hotel also offers many thoughtful benefits, including free laundry services, massages, and tuk-tuk drivers, to name just a few. Leaving this beautiful place was genuinely hard!
"3 nights at Jaya House"
The staff and service at this hotel were absolutely fantastic—nothing was ever too much trouble. From providing insect repellent when heading out to welcoming us after a long day with a sandwich and a drink, every detail was thoughtfully handled. Breakfast was excellent, and our room was very spacious and comfortable, with an outstanding bed and pillows.
"Awesome – only word for it"
Our holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia concluded in Siem Reap, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place than Jaya Park. From the moment we arrived to our farewell, the hotel and its team created a welcoming, peaceful, and effortlessly relaxed atmosphere. Their professionalism, dedication to sustainability, and pride in supporting the local community were evident in every detail. The rooms are immaculate, well-appointed, and any request was met discreetly with a smile. The two pools—one sunny and one shaded—offered perfect relaxation, complemented by a wonderful spa with a wide variety of treatments. Dining and drinks were excellent, including thoughtful catering for allergies. Highlights included a sundowner at the Sky Bar and a barista-made coffee with a warm croissant at 4 a.m. before sunrise tours of Ta Prohm and Angkor Wat. Tuk-tuks were always immediately available, and the staff provided invaluable advice—from helping me purchase a luggage lock to laundering wet clothes and shoes the same day. Having stayed in many hotels worldwide, this one truly stands out. It offers exceptional value, extraordinary service, and memorable experiences that go far beyond a typical hotel stay. A heartfelt thank you to Chris, Anna, Finn, and the entire team for making the end of our holiday so special. We hope to return—and wish we had booked a longer stay!
"Hotel in Seim Reap"
A very nice and peaceful retreat with a wonderful ambience. Everyone on the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent, leaving nothing to be desired, and after a day of activities, the pool area was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended!
"A wonderful stay"
We were truly impressed by the hospitality of the staff at Sala Lodges. Knowing it was our wedding anniversary, they upgraded our room for the first two nights and decorated our beds with lotus flower petals—a thoughtful and beautiful gesture. Dinner outings and visits to nearby venues were easily arranged with their tuk-tuk service, even though the resort is a short distance from town. Their attention to detail and care made our stay truly memorable.
