"Truly a slice of heaven."

Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful hotel we have ever stayed in. We spent three nights here while exploring the temples of Siem Reap, and from the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly left, our experience was truly exceptional. While flashier, glitzier hotels exist in the center of town, nothing compares to the quality of service and the profound sense of calm, peace, and tranquility that radiates from this hidden gem of just 40 rooms. From the personalized check-in service to the complimentary laundry and daily massages, nothing was ever too much trouble. What impressed us most was the genuine warmth and enthusiasm of the staff, who clearly love being part of this special community. A heartfelt thank you to Christian, Christian, Finn, and every member of the spectacular team—we will absolutely be back! 🙏

"Good hotel"

The hotel is advertised as the best in the world, where every wish is anticipated, so we naturally arrived with high expectations. The rooms were minimalist yet tastefully decorated, though the towels and bathrobes were noticeably worn and should have been replaced long ago. We appreciated the complimentary minibar, as well as the combination of buffet and à la carte breakfast—everything tasted good, though nothing particularly stood out. The same applied to our lunch and dinner experiences. The restaurant staff were warm and attentive, and the free TukTuk service was excellent, with short waiting times and friendly drivers. The complimentary laundry service was extremely convenient after two weeks of travel, and the daily one-hour massage was acceptable, though not exceptional. What negatively impacted our stay was the inauthentic and somewhat overbearing behavior of certain staff members, which at times created uncomfortable moments. Despite its many amenities, the hotel lacked the personal touch—such as addressing guests by name—that we have experienced in other hotels of similar price and reputation. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, but in our view, it did not live up to its claim of being the best hotel in the world.

"Awesome – only word for it"

During our holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia with friends, Siem Reap was our final destination, and staying at Jaya Park exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived until our memorable farewell, the hotel and its entire team created a chilled, welcoming, and peaceful atmosphere, combining professional hospitality with a genuine desire for guests to experience more than just a hotel stay. The ethos of service, sustainability, and pride in supporting Siem Reap is evident in everything they do. Our rooms were immaculate, well-appointed, and any request was met quietly, efficiently, and with a smile. The inviting pools—one sunny, one shaded—and the wonderful spa offered perfect relaxation, while the food and drink catered excellently to all needs, including allergies. Highlights included a sundowner at the Sky Bar and a barista-made coffee with a warm croissant at 4 a.m. before our sunrise tours of Ta Prohm and Angkor Wat. Tuk-tuks were always available, and the staff went above and beyond to provide guidance, even helping with errands like purchasing a luggage lock. Laundry services were fast and efficient, ensuring convenience throughout our stay. Having traveled extensively, this hotel genuinely stands out for its exceptional service, thoughtful touches, and great value. A heartfelt thank you to Chris, Anna, Finn, and the entire team for making the end of our holiday unforgettable—we can’t wait to return and wish we had booked to stay longer!

"Good, but not as exceptional as reviews make you expect"

Overall, this is a very good hotel with exceptionally friendly staff and a truly impressive spa. However, given its positioning at the top end of Siem Reap’s price range, several aspects fell short of expectations. The food was mediocre—an honest assessment, especially considering the standard the hotel aims to achieve. Room sizes were adequate but not spacious; for example, a Junior Suite did not offer the generous space one might expect. Sound insulation from the rooms above was poor, and the air-conditioning was both noisy and directed straight toward the bed, a design flaw not typical of top-tier hotels. The overwhelmingly positive reviews seen online in recent months therefore feel somewhat exaggerated. While complimentary minibar items and tuk-tuk rides add some value, they do not compensate for the limitations in room comfort and dining quality. The daily one-hour spa treatment and laundry service are certainly appreciated, though naturally accounted for in the overall room rate. In summary, I can recommend this hotel for its warmth and excellent spa, but travelers should temper their expectations—it is very good, but not quite one of the world’s best as some reviews might suggest.

"Fabulous five day stay at this charming small hotel."

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this fabulous boutique hotel! From the exceptionally friendly service and delicious food to the luxurious linens and peaceful, quiet rooms, everything was perfect—truly what a five-star hotel should be. We stayed five nights, which was ideal, spending three days exploring the ruins and a day visiting the Great Lake Tonle Sap, the floating villages, and bird sanctuary. The complimentary laundry, massages, and tuk-tuk rides to town were fantastic additions, and every meal we had at the hotel was absolutely delicious. Considering the high level of service, comfort, and thoughtful touches, the price is very reasonable. Don’t hesitate—book this hotel now!

"3 nights at Jaya House"

The staff and service were truly fantastic—nothing was ever too much trouble, right down to offering insect repellent each time we went out. After a long day, we were warmly welcomed with a sandwich and a drink, which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was excellent, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with both the bed and pillows providing an exceptional night’s sleep.

"Hidden Gem in Siem Reap"

We had a wonderful stay at this hidden gem in Siem Reap and feel sad to be leaving. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service made us feel truly welcome—thanks especially to Christian and Chris, the managers who made it feel more like a home than a hotel. The warmth and professionalism of the entire team, including Anna, Pheary, and Jimmy, made our experience unforgettable. If you are looking for a five-star hotel with outstanding service and fabulous staff, look no further—stay here! Best wishes to all, Karen and Geoff Formby, Merseyside, England

"Hotel in Siem Reap"

This is a very nice and quiet place with a wonderful ambience. The staff are exceptionally friendly in every role, making the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired, and after a day of activities, the inviting pool area is perfect for relaxing. Highly recommended for a serene and comfortable stay.

"Amazing time at the Jaya River House"

If you’re seeking an authentic and welcoming experience in Siem Reap, this is the only place to consider. Christian provided us with the most incredible welcome we have ever experienced. The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. It’s clear that Christian has given back to the Cambodian people tenfold. We absolutely loved our time here, and leaving was truly difficult.
