"Jet Airways Staff Shine Amid Operational Chaos"
There was absolute chaos at the Jet Airways counter in T2 departure level due to multiple flight cancellations caused by operational issues. Despite the tough situation, the staff remained friendly, calm, and professional throughout. I would like to give 5 stars to the Jet Airways team for handling passengers so well in such a heated situation.
"Disappointing Experience with Baggage Issue Handling"
We traveled from Chennai to Mumbai with elders, and upon receiving our bag, we found the lock broken and immediately reported it. A pair of lightweight plastic shoes was missing, but the staff were unconvinced after weighing the baggage. They made us wait for almost an hour and offered only ₹250 for the damaged lock. The staff member was extremely arrogant—he placed the cash on the desk and asked me to take it instead of handing it over. After a heated exchange, he reluctantly gave it to me in hand. It’s disheartening that airlines make money in every possible way when it benefits them, but when a customer raises a genuine claim, they’re mistreated. To be blunt—rather than earning by deceiving people, some of these “well-dressed but mannerless” staff could earn with pride doing honest work elsewhere. (Disclaimer: this applies to the people involved in this incident.) 😜
"Jet Airways Cancelled Our Flight – Impossible to Reach Them!"
Jet Airways casually cancelled their Mumbai-Dubai evening flight on 20 Jan without making any effort to call and coordinate alternate reservations. Instead, they provided a helpline number (39893333), and as I write this, I’ve been on hold for over 65 minutes with no response. While I understand that airlines can face operational challenges, the lack of proactive communication and support shows poor service recovery in times of crisis. With such handling, Jet Airways is only sinking deeper into the quicksand. They have a lot to learn about managing customers during disruptions!
"Cooperative Head Office Staff, But Terrible Customer Care Service"
The staff at Jet Airways’ head office is cooperative and helpful. However, their customer care service is a huge letdown. They don’t answer calls, nor do they provide updates about refund status. You’re forced to visit the head office personally for even minor issues. The telephonic and online services are absolutely pathetic and need serious improvement.
"Terrible Service – Not a True Qantas Partne"
Jet Airways provided an awful experience and is certainly not acting like a genuine partner with Qantas. They took the opportunity to make extra money on excess baggage and refused to check in my bags for onward flights unless I paid an additional fee on top of the excess charges. I will never use Jet Airways again!
"Jet Airways Headquarters – Strategic Location with Excellent Facilities"
The headquarters of India’s premier airline is conveniently located near Terminal 2 of Mumbai International Airport, right between two prestigious five-star hotels: ITC Maratha and Hyatt, which truly adds to its prominence. This five-storey building is well-equipped with amenities such as open and closed parking lots, a smoke zone, a canteen area, fire exits, a welcoming lobby with a reception, drinking water facilities, and tight security with CCTV monitoring. It serves as the hub for the airline’s major support operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of its domestic and international network. The office is easily accessible via public transport, including roadways and the Mumbai Metro (Airport Road station). There’s also a reservation counter within the premises where guests can book tickets, resolve queries, or plan their travels. The staff at this counter are known for being friendly and customer-focused, available during office hours (9 AM to 5 PM).
"Good Service but Frequent Flight Delays"
Jet Airways offers nice service with cooperative and helpful staff, making the overall experience pleasant. However, the biggest drawback is the consistent flight delays—almost every time, there’s at least a one-hour delay. If you have important commitments or a tight schedule, it’s best to avoid relying on Jet Airways. Other than the punctuality issue, the airline performs well in terms of service and staff behavior.
"Jet Airways, Please Don’t Shut Down – You’re Loved!"
I truly love Jet Airways and have always been happy with their service. The cabin crew are kind, professional, and make every flight a pleasant experience. ❤️ Please don’t shut down Jet Airways! Naresh Goyal, you are the only person who can save this airline and its loyal employees. We need Jet Airways to keep flying!
"Disappointing Service and Frequent Delays – Feels Like a Budget Airline"
The service is poor, and on-time operations are very rare with them. They seem to stretch pilots to operate back-to-back trips in the name of cost-cutting, which is concerning. Jet Airways should be categorized as a budget airline for domestic operations. In comparison, IndiGo is far better in terms of punctuality and overall experience.
"Limited Choices but Still Better Than Air India"
The snacks are getting smaller, and liquor options are almost non-existent – you’re left with either whiskey or beer! Despite these limitations, Jet Airways is still a better option compared to Air India.
Jet Airways
Jet Airways Limited, once a prominent full-service Indian airline, was headquartered in Delhi, with key training facilities located in Mumbai. Founded in April 1993, it initially operated as an air taxi service before launching full commercial operations in 1995. The airline expanded internationally in 2004, went public in 2005, and later acquired Air Sahara in 2007. Although there were efforts to revive Jet Airways—potentially marking it as the first Indian airline to be successfully revived after shutting down—these plans were ultimately halted. On 7 November 2024, the Supreme Court of India ordered its liquidation, marking the formal end of the airline’s operations.
