Jett Bus

"Functional but Lacking Facilities"
As a mode of transportation, it works well. However, there is no proper station to wait at, leaving passengers standing in the street exposed to the sun.
"Convenient Petra Bus Access"
The Jett office is conveniently located next to the Petra Archaeological Site visitors center, though it operates out of a small van and doesn’t open until 4 PM daily. Tickets are easy to purchase online via the Jett website, and the bus both arrives and departs from this location.
"Unsafe and Unprofessional Service"
This company is far from safe and professional. Their buses appear poorly maintained—twice I was stranded in the middle of nowhere because the bus broke down, and I had to wait for repairs or a replacement. I will not use Jett again. Not recommended at all.
"Petra JETT Bus “Station” is Just a Van"
The JETT Bus “station” in Petra isn’t a real station—it’s just a small van next to a store. I didn’t notice this when I arrived early from Amman and headed straight to my hostel. It wasn’t until I took the bus to Aqaba that I realized it. Tickets can be purchased from the employee in the van, though I had already booked mine online a week in advance.
"Fraud Alert – Beware of This Ticket Website"
I purchased a ticket from Amman to Petra on this website, believing it was legitimate. After completing payment, I never received a confirmation email or any tracking information. Multiple attempts to contact customer service went unanswered. I’ve reported the issue to my bank to request a refund. If you’ve already paid, contact your card provider immediately to try to reverse the transaction. Avoid using this site at all costs.
"Frustrating and Illogical Policies"
The bus policies make no sense at all. I wasn’t allowed to get off at a stop we had already passed, even though it would have been convenient. Instead, I had to ride all the way to the 7th Circle and figure out how to get back home from there. Picking up passengers along the way might be understandable, but forcing people to go out of their way like this is unnecessary and frustrating. This policy alone made my experience unpleasant and inconvenient.
"Dangerous Driving on Jett Express – Wadi Rum to Petra"
I recently took the Jett Express from Wadi Rum to Petra, and it was a terrifying experience. The bus was scheduled to depart at 10:00 am, but the driver delayed it until 11:00 am. When I boarded, I saw the driver sitting with his shoes off, making rapid hand gestures as if talking to someone invisible. During the trip, he rested his chin on his elbow with his elbows on the wheel for most of the journey—even on curves—and only touched the wheel when checking his phone with his head down. I protested his phone use once, but he completely ignored me. It was a miracle we arrived in Petra safely. I’ve posted videos of this behavior as a warning—if you see this driver, it’s best to avoid the bus entirely.
