"Authentic Flavors, Disappointing Experience for a Special Occasion"
Last night, our family of six dined at Kebab Aur Sharab to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. While the food delivered an authentic taste of Old Delhi, the overall experience fell far short of expectations, especially given the price and significance of the occasion. The highlights were the exceptional flavors and high-quality ingredients. Every dish reflected care in preparation, with spices perfectly balanced and beautiful presentation. The food truly captured the essence of Old Delhi. However, the dining experience left much to be desired. The atmosphere was loud and chaotic, with Punjabi party music dominating the evening, making it feel more like a wedding reception than a refined Michelin-level restaurant. The meal was rushed—after traveling over two hours, our dinner lasted just about an hour. Many dishes, including the roomali roti and naan, arrived cold, suggesting everything was prepared at once. Even the birthday dessert, while thoughtfully presented with a candle, was followed by an overly loud song, which felt inappropriate for such a milestone celebration. At nearly $400, the rushed service, cold food, and noisy ambiance made the evening feel anything but special. Kebab Aur Sharab excels in authentic Old Delhi cuisine, but for those seeking a calm, celebratory, and Michelin-level experience, this is not the spot. We would not return, especially for a milestone event.

Had such a great time here—surprised at how few reviews this place has! We tried the lamb kebabs, butter chicken tikka, mutton korma, and fish, and everything was delicious. The drinks were excellent as well. Highly recommend!
