"Great Service, But the Food Seriously Lacks Flavor"

Reading some of the glowing reviews, I wondered if they were for a different restaurant—or maybe from an alternate reality. In our experience, the best that can be said about the food is that it was edible and the portion sizes were fair. To their credit, the service was very good. The staff were friendly and attentive, and none of the issues lie with them. Unfortunately, the kitchen seems to have missed the memo on seasoning and flavor—every dish felt flat and uninspired. If you're looking for a meal with real depth and taste, you'd be better off at one of the more humble local chifa spots. They may not be as stylish, but the food there is leagues better.

"Cozy Atmosphere and Great Starters, But Disappointing Main Course"

The restaurant has a warm, cozy vibe and the staff are clearly trained to communicate well with tourists—they spoke English, which made things easier. The presentation of the dishes was impressive and added a nice touch to the experience. I really enjoyed the Andean wontons and the jasmine tea, both flavorful and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the main course (an “airport” dish) didn’t live up to expectations—it just didn’t convince me in terms of taste or quality. A pleasant place overall, but the mains may be hit or miss.

"Authentic Chinese Flavors and Exceptional Service in Cusco"

I had an amazing dining experience at a Chinese restaurant in Cusco! The flavors were outstanding—each dish captured the essence of authentic Chinese cuisine. From the fragrant fried noodles to the perfectly crispy fried wontons, every bite was memorable. A special shoutout to Paula, whose service truly elevated our visit. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastically recommended signature dishes that made the experience even better. Her warm, attentive service made us feel completely at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cusco and craving genuine Chinese flavors with top-notch hospitality!

"Great Atmosphere and Service, but Food Fell a Bit Short"

The vibe and service at this place were absolutely 10/10—friendly, welcoming, and relaxed. While the food was decent overall, it didn’t quite reach the same level. The fried rice had great flavor, but the meat was unfortunately a bit gristly. The ginger pork lacked depth and was rather bland, making it one of the less memorable meals we had in Peru. That said, the wontons were excellent and definitely a highlight. It’s still a decent spot, especially for the ambiance and service, but the food could use a bit more refinement.

"Peaceful Lunch Spot with Delicious Food and Refreshing Drinks"

This restaurant is a lovely and quiet place, especially around noon—perfect for a relaxed lunch. I ordered the Tau Si pork and the three-meat chaufa rice, and they made an excellent combination. The food was very delicious, full of flavor, and well-prepared. I also tried a couple of non-alcoholic drinks, which were refreshing and enjoyable. Overall, a great spot for a calm, satisfying lunch with flavorful dishes and a peaceful atmosphere.

"Great Views and Drinks, but Food Falls Flat"

This Peruvian-Japanese/Chinese fusion spot is conveniently located on the second floor overlooking the main square—perfect for enjoying some pretty views while you dine. We stopped in for a late lunch based on our tour guide's recommendation. While the setting and drinks were lovely (the Antigripal tea was especially soothing and worth ordering on a chilly or rainy day), the food was underwhelming. I had the Tori (chicken) ramen, while my mom and sister had the Buta (pork) ramen. All of them were pretty bland, though the warm broth was still comforting given the weather. My dad went for the Acevichado roll, breaking the ramen trend, but the overall flavor still didn’t wow us. Credit cards are accepted, which is convenient, and the tranquil view makes it a decent spot to unwind. Just don’t expect standout flavors from the food.

"Delicious Food and Excellent Service at Kion, but Atmosphere Could Improve"

My experience at Kion was truly rewarding. The food was delicious, and the service from the waitstaff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. The only thing missing was a bit of atmosphere—some background music would go a long way in making the space feel more vibrant and inviting. Still, overall, a great dining experience and definitely worth a visit.

"Comforting Chinese Food and Thoughtful Service"

We were really craving Chinese food, and this spot hit the spot perfectly! We ordered the special wonton soup and aeropuerto fried rice—both dishes were flavorful and satisfying without being overly salty. A big thank you to Paula and the team for their attentive and kind service. They even split the soup into two small bowls for easier sharing, which we really appreciated. A comforting meal with thoughtful touches all around!

"Disappointing Experience Despite Nice Ambiance"

I came in expecting one of the best chifa experiences in Cusco, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The chaufa was completely flavorless, and the tamarind sauce lacked any real depth. The chi jau kay was the most decent dish, but still far from memorable. Service was also slow—despite the restaurant not being busy, it took 40 minutes for the chi jau kay to arrive, and I had to request they reheat the chaufa. Overall, it was a letdown. The space itself is pleasant, but the food and experience didn’t meet expectations. There are definitely better options elsewhere.

"Tasty Chinese-Peruvian Fusion with Great Drinks and Value"

This spot offers a great infusion of Chinese and Peruvian flavors, with dishes that are both nicely priced and served in generous portions. The non-alcoholic infusions were a highlight—refreshing, flavorful, and a perfect complement to the meal. A solid choice for tasty fusion cuisine at a good value!
