"Good choice"
We enjoyed good service and a nice variety of food. We were lucky to have lunch on the front-row terrace overlooking the sea, which made the experience even better. The food was rich and flavorful, though perhaps a bit pricey for the portion sizes.
"Beautiful location. Exceptional food. Terrible service from staff which spoiled the overall experience. Shame."
This place is amazing in terms of food and menu choices—everything we ordered was fantastic. Unfortunately, the staff were extremely rude and arrogant, which completely overshadowed the experience. Such a shame. We won’t be returning as the service felt too intimidating.
"Good food, Service attentive, Price midrange"
We visited with our 8-year-old daughter. The restaurant was busy, but we were accommodated with another seat. The food—including moray eel, salmon, fish stew, and small spaghetti bolognese—was good to very good. Side dishes are limited; my wife had requested vegetables, which were forgotten and not followed up, but the spaghetti for our daughter was deliberately brought first, which was thoughtful. Service was friendly and attentive, though you could sense the rush during busy periods. The seating is pleasant, and the overall dining experience is enjoyable. Prices aren’t cheap, but this is standard for the area.
"I can’t recommend it anymore!"
In my opinion, the quality of the food has decreased significantly, and the service was unfriendly. This year’s visit will be my first and last.
"Nice views and good food"
Overall, the food was good, and the waitstaff provided excellent service. We ordered garlic prawns, wrinkled potatoes, fried octopus, and fried barracuda. Everything was enjoyable, but we were charged €18 for just three bars of octopus, which felt overpriced. The total bill for two people came to €63.
"Grilled sole👎"
I can only speak for myself, but the sole I ordered did not meet my expectations. I tried both grilled sole and sole as a fillet, and in both cases, the meat was very firm and dry. This contrasted with a sole I had just three days earlier in the area, which was fried in butter and wonderfully soft. That said, I don’t want to rate the restaurant poorly overall, as I can’t speak for the other dishes. Coming from Hamburg, I’ve eaten sole in many regions, but grilling such a delicate fish rather than preparing it in butter was unusual for my taste. This is purely my personal opinion.
"Spontaneous visit a complete success!!!"
We completely agree with the positive reviews. The service was not grumpy at all—despite the restaurant being full, the waiters worked like a highly focused, well-rehearsed team, ensuring all guests were well taken care of. The fish was fantastic, and the views were breathtaking. We hope to see more places like this on Fuerteventura! 😃
"Tapas exelents"
We visited this restaurant for cocktails and tapas and had a very enjoyable meal. The food was excellent, and I would recommend it for good tapas. However, the welcome was not very friendly, which slightly affected the overall experience.
La Laja Restaurant
A restaurant offering seafood paella, garlic prawns, and tiramisu in a charming setting.
