"A Must-Visit for Adventurous Foodies"
If you enjoy bold flavors and innovative culinary experiences, make your reservation now—this spot is a hidden gem! The restaurant is small and only open during select hours, so booking ahead is essential. We opted for the chef’s menu, and it was an unforgettable experience. Dishes were brought out one after another, tailored to our dietary needs and preferences. Each plate was not only beautifully presented but also came with a detailed explanation. The creativity behind the food was incredible—we found ourselves analyzing each dish to understand the techniques and ingredients involved. Everything is designed to be shared, and considering the freshness and uniqueness of the food, the pricing was surprisingly reasonable. Highly recommended for those who appreciate experimental dining.
"A Unique Culinary Journey with One Disappointing Surprise"
We were encouraged to let the staff guide our dining experience—and we’re so glad we did. They selected the dishes for us, and every plate was bursting with creativity and flavor. It was a delightful and unique gastronomic journey that we thoroughly enjoyed. However, one aspect left a sour note. Although our reservation was for three people, only two of us attended, and we were surprised to be charged €25 for the third person’s absence. While we understand and respect cancellation policies and the need for credit card guarantees, it felt unfair in this case—especially since we only used a table for two. It’s not quite the same situation as a group of five turning up with only three. Despite this, the food and service were exceptional, and the experience overall was memorable. Just be mindful of the reservation terms.
"Intense Flavors and Imbalance Leave Room for Improvement"
We had high hopes for La Llorería and were excited to finally try it. The service was attentive and professional, which we truly appreciated. However, the dishes didn’t quite meet our expectations. We sampled about half the menu, and found that most of the flavors were overwhelmingly intense—some even excessively salty, like the lamb meatballs. There seemed to be a lack of balance across the dishes and within the overall menu. We've dined at many restaurants in a similar price range and, unfortunately, we feel that La Llorería is not quite on par at the moment. We decided to share this review because our experience was noticeably different from the glowing feedback we had seen on Google. Hopefully, the restaurant can refine its flavors and achieve better harmony in the dishes going forward.
"Warmth, Quality, and Thoughtful Details Make This Spot Stand Out"
This restaurant truly stands out for its personal touch, warmth, and top-quality cuisine. Everything we tried was delicious and unique. The tuna, crispy artichokes, and pear dessert were definite highlights—especially the pear, which was absolutely delightful. The only dish that didn’t quite hit the mark for us was the aguachile; the flavor was a bit too intense, even though the plum helped mellow it slightly. What really set the experience apart were the small, thoughtful gestures. I casually mentioned it was my companion's birthday during the meal, and to our surprise, they brought a small gift at the end—such a sweet touch. They also don’t charge for water, bread, or cutlery, and their attentiveness makes the whole experience feel special. It’s these kinds of details that elevate a restaurant to another level.
"Good Food but High Expectations Left Unmet"
I had been eager to try this place for some time, but perhaps my high expectations led to some disappointment. The food was tasty overall, but no dish truly stood out, and a few, like the peppers, felt avoidable. The service was very friendly and welcoming, which was a positive. However, the space is quite small and felt a bit uncomfortable. We opted for half portions based on our preferences, accompanied by soft drinks and just two glasses of wine, yet the bill came close to €60 per person. A decent experience, but not quite what we hoped for.
"Intimate Dining with Bold Flavors and Attentive Service"
Highly recommended restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and just a few tables, where the owners are clearly hands-on and passionate about their craft. The personal and friendly service made us feel very welcome. We trusted one of the owners to guide our meal, and every dish delivered—packed with bold flavors and creative combinations. The overall experience felt thoughtful and well-curated. We were three people and spent around €45 per person, which felt very fair for the quality and uniqueness of the food. A great spot for an intimate and flavorful dining experience.
