"Lovely stay"

We stayed for just one night, but the staff were incredibly helpful, and it was lovely to enjoy a massage. The room was very comfortable. The only downside was the restaurant, which was quite noisy due to large groups; it would be great to have an alternative dining option for solo or small-group travelers.

"One of the best hotels i have ever stayed at"

What a wonderful hotel! Having stayed at some of the top hotels in the world, I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The rooms were stunning, especially the four-poster beds, and the dining options for breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. As part of our visit, most of our party of 14 enjoyed complimentary one-hour massages, which were fantastic. The front office manager was especially helpful, and on our departure, all the staff—from the restaurant and kitchen to the porters and cleaners—came out to wish us a safe journey to our next destination, Siem Reap. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Nice hotel. Amazing staff"

A nice hotel, spread across both sides of the road, with modern decor and generously sized rooms. Views aren’t great, but that’s due to the location rather than the hotel itself. We enjoyed breakfast and one evening meal—both were good with a varied menu. The bar is small but pleasant, and the pool is also on the smaller side. The location isn’t ideal, with only a few bars and restaurants within a 5–10 minute walk, and the area passed through isn’t particularly appealing. However, tuk-tuks are easy to hire for around $3 to reach the riverside dining and entertainment areas. The standout feature is the staff—they are incredibly friendly and helpful.

"Central location but not helped by building works nearby"

**We were a little disappointed upon arrival, as the small pool at reception was full of leaves. Our room was large but quite dark; fortunately, there were plenty of lighting options, though figuring out which switch controlled what was a bit confusing at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was served across the road in what seemed like an annex. It was a la carte and somewhat limited, though the coffee was good. There was also a pool at the annex, which was initially full of leaves, but we enjoyed a swim after someone promptly and sheepishly cleaned the area while we were there.**

"A great hotel with its own personality"

What a lovely and unique place with staff who could not do more for you. The massages are exceptional—truly some of the best we’ve ever had! This hotel is a refreshing change from corporate hospitality. Many staff speak excellent English, making conversations about Cambodia a delight. Their advice on things to see and do in Phnom Penh was spot on.

"A good if not amazing hotel.."

The Rose Suites strives to be a five-star hotel, but in my opinion, it doesn’t quite reach that level. The highlight of our two-night stay was the staff – always friendly and doing everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is set across two buildings on opposite sides of the street, and the public outdoor areas are limited. The larger pool is mostly shaded and uninviting, while the small kids’ pool near the entrance doesn’t feel particularly welcoming either. Our room, however, was spacious, comfortable, and attractively decorated. We were pleasantly surprised by a huge bathtub, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was a bit disappointing – a la carte rather than a buffet, with limited options. For instance, there was no muesli or yoghurt, and the fruit selection was minimal. While not a dealbreaker, it felt unusual for a hotel of this standard. On the plus side, the location is excellent, just a short walk to a lively street with plenty of restaurants. For trips further afield, the staff quickly arranged a tuk-tuk. Overall, the hotel has many strong points and we enjoyed our stay. I was just a little surprised by the numerous glowing reviews suggesting a five-star experience – it’s a very decent hotel, but without some of the premium touches one might expect.

"Don’t want to leave"

I’ve stayed in countless hotels around the world, but none compare to this for quality of service and attentiveness. The hotel manager sets the standard and personally took us on a walking tour to a local area where the hotel supports a school. The food was excellent, the dancing at mealtime was delightful, and we truly wished we weren’t leaving the next morning.

"Very nice hotel in Pnomh Penh – quiet, good facilities and very helpful staff"

Although it was quiet when we arrived, we had a very pleasant two-night stay. We dined in the hotel on both nights, and the food was excellent each time. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always cheerful and genuinely interested in our visit. They went out of their way to assist with anything we needed. As an added bonus, the beer was excellent – perfectly cold and refreshing after a day exploring the city.

"Very Nice Hotel; Exceptional Service"

I had a wonderful 3-night stay at LaRose Suites, a beautiful hidden gem close to Bassac Lane and the Royal Palace. Upon entering, you immediately notice the serene oasis, smiling faces, and the gentle scent of lemongrass. What truly sets this place apart is the staff—they not only meet your needs but anticipate them, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It felt like a home away from home while traveling solo. The complimentary massage at the LaRose Spa was excellent—be sure to book in advance. The Banana Tree Restaurant is very popular, so reservations are recommended for lunch or dinner.
