"Excellent Food and Friendly Service"
The service was good and friendly throughout our visit, making us feel welcome and well cared for. The food was excellent, impressively prepared and full of flavor, contributing to a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.
"High Expectations, Mixed Experience"
Having heard great things about this top steakhouse featured in the Michelin guide, we were excited to try it. Booking online was straightforward once our desired date opened up. The restaurant is small and cozy, with limited seating. Our server had some difficulty communicating in English, which made the menu explanation quite basic. While that’s understandable in Spain, it’s worth noting for tourists who might need more guidance. One of the owners was present and spoke excellent English, clearly passionate about ensuring guests had a great experience. We started with solid appetizers and then asked for the “best tasting and most flavorful” steak for two. The recommendation was the aged Spanish entrecôte bone-in steak. The steak was cooked well, but the heavy aging resulted in a very strong, funky flavor that some might enjoy, but it was too intense for us. Some slices at the ends were almost blackened. Having had aged steaks before, this was shockingly overpowering. Next time, I’d recommend going for the no-bone Wagyu, which isn’t aged and looked fantastic at the neighboring table. Overall, while the steakhouse is skilled at what they do, it didn’t stand out as exceptional to us, especially given the flavor profile of the aged steak. If you’re curious about aged beef, go in with an open mind, but for a more classic steak experience, try their Wagyu.
"Still the Worst Dining Experience Nearly a Year Later"
Nearly a year after our visit, this remains the worst restaurant experience in the lives of our group of four couples.
"Worth Every Penny – 10/10 Experience"
A truly outstanding dining experience! While it’s pricier than other high-quality meat restaurants, the value is undeniable. We can’t wait to return!
"Overpriced for an Average Meal"
The food was just okay and certainly didn’t live up to the high price point. I expected much more given the cost.
"Exceptional Elements, but Fell Short of Expectations"
While the food and service were both commendable, we walked away with a slightly bittersweet impression. At this level—and price point—excellence should be the standard. The sweetbreads with caviar were a standout: three rich, flavorful bites that showcased the kitchen’s talent. However, the Friesian beef chop was a letdown. We requested a cut with extra marinade, but the one presented seemed lacking at first glance, and unfortunately, our instincts were right. While the cooking was flawless, the flavor didn’t deliver the depth we had hoped for. The cut had very little marbling, which left the experience somewhat flat, despite a good effort to enhance it with the fattier edge. Overall, the service and atmosphere were on point. Still, the cost felt disproportionate to the overall dining experience. Perhaps our expectations were set too high—but we’re open to giving it another shot in the future.
