"Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Polanco"
The service at this hotel is truly impeccable. The concierge team went above and beyond to assist with every request, making our stay very comfortable. The room was nice and even spacious, though the bathroom featured a dated, small jet tub, which fell short of the “bath service” the hotel promotes. The building itself is unremarkable, the lobby quite small, and the views were generally uninspiring. On the bright side, the included breakfast was excellent and a definite highlight.
"Fabulous in every respect"
Our room was spacious and spotless. Service is remarkable. The hotel Concierges booked our restaurants, arranged a driver and a fabulous guide to the Pyramids of Teotihuacan, and arranged tickets to a show. Angel was particularly helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is in an upscale, fabulous location
"Perfect location"
We stayed in a suite that had plenty of room, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The hotel’s location was perfect, close to many good local restaurants. The reception staff were informative and helpful. However, we were disappointed with the breakfast; the continental offering was not very exciting, and we feel a buffet-style breakfast would be a much better choice.
"‘Almost’ perfect stay"
I spent weeks researching hotels and I’m so glad I chose Las Alcobas. We stayed four nights in room 43 and overall had a wonderful experience. The room was bright, spacious, and beautifully designed, with everything you could possibly need. All room controls are managed through a convenient tablet, and the housekeeping service was truly exceptional. Each evening we enjoyed a full turndown service with adorable tins of (what tasted like homemade) chocolate buttons—those small details really made the hotel feel like a temporary home. We genuinely felt at home here. The staff were consistently polite, warm, and welcoming, exactly what you would expect from a high-quality boutique hotel. Breakfast was generally excellent, with fresh bakery items and included selections from the à la carte menu. Service during the first few days was outstanding, though slightly less attentive on our final morning. Unfortunately, our departure-day breakfast was the only real disappointment. Our order—taken by the head waiter—was forgotten, and after waiting 35 minutes we had to ask about it. The food arrived rushed, with undercooked, “snotty” eggs, so we ultimately skipped breakfast altogether. A small lapse, but enough to take the experience from a perfect 5-star stay down to a strong 4.5. Since there’s no option for 4.5 stars, I feel it’s fair to round up to 5. Gracias, Las Alcobas ♥️
"Coulda been great…."
This boutique hotel, right in the heart of Polanco, has great potential. Check-in and check-out were easy, and I appreciated that my luggage arrived before me. The casual breakfast offered a large menu, the bed and linens were comfortable, and the wifi was decent. I stayed for three days before moving to another nearby boutique hotel. However, there were a couple of disappointments: the window was so dirty it was nearly impossible to see outside, and I was unable to get a coffee machine in my room. Overall, a good stay but with some significant misses that could be improved.
"A gem of a boutique hotel is worth a visit"
Terrific property and one I would definitely stay at again. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast offered great options with very good quality food. The rooms are laid out very efficiently. While the sleeping area is on the smaller side, the bathroom is quite spacious, and the overall design works very well. Everything feels thoughtfully planned. The only minor downside is the gym, which is quite small and has limited equipment (just a single treadmill, for example). That said, this is hardly a major issue for a small hotel, and it’s more than offset by the hotel’s charm, personalized service, excellent location, and other amenities. Overall, it easily earns a well-deserved 5 stars.
"Decent hotel in great location"
This modern hotel in the heart of Polanco offers well-appointed rooms, though ours was on the smaller side. The staff provided very good service, and the gym, while small, met basic workout needs. The included continental breakfast was a bit disappointing, with little variety—typically a fruit plate, coffee or tea, and three pastry options each day. On the positive side, breakfast can be delivered to your room at no extra charge. A highlight of our stay was the delicious juice served upon arrival—absolutely amazing!
"Love this hotel"
What an exceptional experience at Las Alcobas. My husband and I spent five glorious days celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary at this beautiful, refined, and tranquil oasis amid the energy of Mexico City. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a heartfelt “welcome back” every time we entered the hotel. The front desk team was outstanding—always attentive and genuinely eager to help, whether it was arranging dinner and tour recommendations or accommodating a more unusual request such as providing a room humidifier. Breakfast at the restaurant was consistently outstanding, featuring fresh, delicious food paired with warm and professional service. Our anniversary dinner was especially memorable and easily stood out among the many high-end restaurants we experienced during our trip. Our room was stunning and thoughtfully designed, offering every possible comfort and detail to make our stay truly relaxing. A special thank you to Carlos at the front desk for efficiently arranging assistance during an unexpected medical issue, to Angel—our anniversary dinner waiter—who made the evening truly special, and to Alejandro, whose warm smile each morning was the perfect way to start our day. We have stayed at many five-star hotels around the world, and Las Alcobas is unquestionably among the very best.
"Wonderful Boutique Hotel"
Staying at this boutique hotel was an absolute treat. The property is gorgeous, located in a quiet and beautiful residential area. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and feature one of the best showers we’ve ever experienced. The surrounding neighborhood is delightful, with great shops and restaurants, and it’s a joy to simply walk around. This hotel offers a refreshing and special alternative to the larger, more commercial hotels.
