"Love this hotel"
My husband and I had the pleasure of spending five unforgettable days at Las Alcobas, celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. This beautiful, refined, and tranquil oasis in the midst of Mexico City’s hustle exceeded all expectations. We were welcomed with a smile and a warm “welcome back” each time we entered, and the front desk staff were consistently outstanding, ready to assist with everything from dinner and tour recommendations to more unusual requests like a room humidifier. Breakfast at the restaurant was exceptional, with fresh, delicious food and attentive, professional service. Our anniversary dinner was especially memorable and ranked among the best meals of our trip. The room itself was stunning, thoughtfully appointed, and provided every possible comfort. Special thanks to Carlos at the front desk, who efficiently helped with an emergent medical issue; Angel, our waiter during the anniversary dinner, who made the evening truly special; and Alejandro, whose cheerful smile at breakfast was the perfect start to each day. Having stayed at many five-star hotels worldwide, Las Alcobas stands out as one of the very best!
"Decent hotel in great location"
This Brick Hotel is a modern hotel located in the heart of Polanco. Our room was on the smaller side but well-appointed, and the staff provided very good service throughout our stay. The gym is quite small, suitable only for basic workouts. The included continental breakfast was disappointing, offering the same items each day — a fruit plate, regular coffee or tea, and three pastry selections. On the positive side, breakfast delivery to the room is available at no extra charge, which some guests may appreciate. A highlight of our stay was the juice provided upon arrival — it was absolutely amazing and a nice touch.
"A gem of a boutique hotel is worth a visit"
This Las Alcobas is a terrific property, and I would definitely stay again. The staff are very helpful, and breakfast offers a wide selection of delicious options. The rooms are efficiently laid out — while small, the bathrooms are spacious and everything works well. The only minor downside is the gym, which is quite small with just a single treadmill and limited equipment. However, this is a minor issue for a boutique hotel, easily outweighed by the property’s charm, personalized service, excellent location, and other amenities. Overall, it earns a full 5 stars.
"Coulda been great…"
This Brick Hotel has the potential to be a fantastic stay. It’s a lovely boutique property located right in the heart of Polanco, with easy check-in and check-out, and I appreciated that my luggage arrived in the room before I did. The casual breakfast offered a large menu, the bed and linens were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was decent. I stayed three days here before moving to another nearby boutique hotel. However, there were a couple of disappointments. The window was so dirty that it was almost impossible to see outside, and I was unable to get a coffee machine in my room. These misses held back an otherwise pleasant experience.
"‘Almost’ perfect stay"
After weeks of searching, I’m so glad we chose Las Alcobas. We stayed in room 43 for four nights and loved it. The room was bright, spacious, and equipped with everything you could need — with all controls conveniently managed via a tablet. Housekeeping was exceptional, and the nightly turndown service, complete with homemade chocolate buttons in charming tins, made the hotel feel like a true home away from home. The staff were uniformly polite, welcoming, and attentive, living up to the boutique hotel’s high standards. Breakfast was generally excellent, featuring fresh bakery items and options from the à la carte menu, with top-notch service during the first few days. The only issue occurred on our departure day, when our breakfast order was forgotten. After 35 minutes of waiting, we received rushed food with undercooked eggs, leaving us without breakfast — a small slip that slightly marred an otherwise perfect stay. Overall, our experience deserves a strong 4.5 stars, though I’m happy to round up to 5. Gracias, Las Alcobas ♥️.
"Perfect location"
We stayed in a suite at the Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City, which offered plenty of space, a comfortable bed, and supportive pillows. The location is perfect, with many excellent local restaurants within walking distance. The reception staff were informative and helpful throughout our stay. Our only disappointment was the breakfast. The continental option felt uninspiring, and I believe a buffet breakfast would better match the hotel’s standard and provide a more satisfying start to the day.
"Fabulous in every respect"
Our stay at the Marquis Reforma Hotel was fantastic. The room was spacious and spotless, and the service throughout the hotel was remarkable. The concierge team went above and beyond, booking our restaurants, arranging a driver and an excellent guide for the Pyramids of Teotihuacan, and securing tickets to a show — with Angel being particularly helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel is situated in an upscale, fabulous location, making it an ideal base for exploring Mexico City.
"Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Polanco"
The service at the Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City is truly impeccable. The concierge team went above and beyond to assist us, providing top-notch service throughout our stay. That said, the hotel’s ambiance is underwhelming. The building itself is unremarkable, and the lobby is quite small. Our room was spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom featured a dated, small jet tub, which detracted from the “bath service” the hotel promotes. Views from the room were uninspiring. On a positive note, the included breakfast was excellent, offering a good start to each day.
