"Mythical, delicious but very expensive"

This is a mythical address in Paris, always welcoming, friendly, and lively. Even if there’s a short queue, it’s worth the wait. The menu is extensive, and everything is absolutely delicious — one of my favorite restaurants in Paris for over 20 years. That said, the prices have become quite steep; €70 for two people makes it increasingly unaffordable. A shame, given the exceptional quality and charm.

"Merguez"

I opted for a takeaway falafel wrap — it was tasty, though comparable to other places I’ve tried. What truly stands out, however, is the merguez wrap. There’s nothing quite like it in London, and I make sure to enjoy these flavorful sausages as often as I can whenever I’m in Paris.

"Tasty schawarmas"

While exploring the old Jewish quarter, a local friend recommended this spot for takeout. Although it’s usually busy, the line wasn’t long that day. We ordered several shawarmas and fries — all were delicious, and €15 for a juicy, flavorful shawarma is very reasonable for Paris. They do have indoor seating, but on a nice day, the hidden park just a few steps away is a perfect place to enjoy your meal.

"Always Superb"

As always, the food at L’As du Falafel was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. We each enjoyed the falafel platter, complete with falafel, hummus, coleslaw, salad, dips, roasted aubergine, and warm flatbreads. I had the mint lemonade, which was refreshing. Everything was served within minutes. Arrive before noon to avoid a long queue, but the ticket system ensures you’re seated efficiently. The staff are friendly, the toilets are clean, and for €54, we had two delicious, healthy, and filling meals. Truly a must-visit!

"Great falafel in a crowded place"

This well-known Israeli restaurant in Paris is so popular that whether you want to dine in or grab takeout, you’ll likely face a line — I waited about twenty minutes before entering. I tried the house specialty: a complete dish of falafel, hummus, and vegetables, served with pita slices and a beer. The food was very good, though somewhat pricey at €33. While waiting, a waiter records your party size and gives a ticket with an estimated entry time. Once inside, service is quite fast, even amid the crowd, making for an efficient and tasty experience.

"All good! 🤩"

This place is extremely crowded, with tightly packed tables and a rather spartan environment. Despite the chaos, the fast food specialties are high quality and flavorful. Service is very quick, making it a good option for a fast, satisfying meal even if the surroundings are a bit cramped.

"Falafel to try"

The falafel here is very good and light, accompanied by pleasantly mild and digestible hummus. The pita bread is industrial, but the food overall is satisfying. The restaurant is often crowded, making it ideal for a quick lunch. Prices are a bit on the higher side for what you get, but still recommended for a tasty, fast meal.

"Great felafel"

The falafel here is definitely very good, along with the other interesting menu items. However, the restaurant can be a bit chaotic and confusing inside, so it might be better to enjoy your meal as a takeaway.

"Very good falafel"

The falafel here is surprisingly good, even for someone who usually doesn’t enjoy it. We bought two pieces to share among four people and nearly couldn’t finish them — very generous portions! The lines can be long, but the food is affordable and definitely worth the wait.

"Good but nothing extraordinary"

Service here is very fast and efficient, with orders served promptly. I tried their specialty, the pita falafel sandwich, which was generously filled and tasty. While the ingredients were good, the sandwich itself wasn’t particularly extraordinary — still a reliable and satisfying option for a quick meal.

L’As du Fallafel

A famed casual spot in Le Marais for a really excellent falafel sandwich and vibrant street-food vibe; perfect for lunch or a relaxed meal without the formalities of fine dining. Locals and tourists both love it for its value and flavour.
