"Great meal and service in an intimate space in the Marais"

The main floor offers an intimate space full of character, while the upper floor feels less engaging. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and complemented by attentive service. This spot is highly recommended for couples or small groups of four or fewer

"Perfect Small cozy Bistro in a perfect location"

Located in the heart of Paris’ Marais district, this small and romantic restaurant is a must-visit. Reservations are essential due to its popularity. The menu and wine list are perfectly curated, offering high-quality gourmet French dishes and well-priced, excellent wines. Every dish we tried was delicious—truly a memorable dining experience. I wish I could return tomorrow!

"A wonderful dinner in Paris with friends"

Dining upstairs in a room steeped in history, full of character and charm, was a wonderful experience. Our server was fantastic, and each of the four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommended!

"A small restaurant that hides many surprises"

This small yet upscale restaurant offers exceptionally good food and attentive, friendly service. We visited for a friend’s birthday and were impressed by the quality of the dishes, particularly the meat, which was excellent. Ideal for celebrating special events or enjoying a romantic date. Highly recommended!

"Good address"

A beautiful discovery during our stay in Paris. The restaurant is small, so booking in advance is recommended. The atmosphere is lovely, though the tables are a bit cramped. The dishes are original, well-presented, and generally very good—snails in crispy shells were excellent, as were the pimientos stuffed with goat cheese, though the stuffed zucchini felt a bit bland. Prices are on the high side, with cocktails like a mojito costing €12.

"A true French experience"

From start to finish, our visit was amazing. The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is lovely and cosy—small but never overcrowded or noisy. The food was outstanding; we savoured every bite and truly felt immersed in a classic French dining experience. A special recommendation: don’t hesitate to try the snails—you won’t regret it!

"Nice experience"

A typical restaurant in the Le Marais area offering friendly and prompt service. We enjoyed the cuisine, particularly a delicious duck leg paired with a good red wine. Overall, a pleasant experience with prices in line with the neighborhood average.

"Authentic Le Marais"

This old, famous French bistro may not impress with its décor, but the food more than makes up for it. Traditional recipes are prepared to perfection, with flavors that simply melt in your mouth. Be mindful of the treacherous spiral stairs if heading upstairs, as they’re tricky for anyone unsteady or with mobility issues. Sitting downstairs proved to be a comfortable and enjoyable choice.

"Very good local restaurant – Great Ambiance and Service – Make reservations"

A delightful small restaurant offering well-executed dishes and attentive service in a wonderful ambiance. The menu features a nice selection of cocktails and wines by the glass. Highlights for us were the gaspacho, burrata salad, and duck confit, with the standout being the decadent, luscious caramel “pain perdu.” Reservations are highly recommended to secure a table at this popular spot.

"Good food, average service, preying on American tourists?"

The food at this Parisian spot was quite good, though tables are cramped, as is typical in the city. Service was average. What stood out—and left a slightly negative impression—was the credit card device at checkout, which prompted tip amounts of 10%, 15%, and 20%. One wonders if this screen is only shown to visitors accustomed to tipping generously, or if Parisians see it too. A small cultural quirk that catches you off guard.

Le Colimaçon – Le Marais

A cozy bistro with warm service and delicious beef bourguignon. A great option for traditional French food in a relaxed setting.
